I wish I had room to try the bananas foster, but we will definitely get it next time! The complimentary martini was delicious! We had a very pleasant experience, I look forward to returning in the near future! Wonderful meal. Shared a crab stuffed mushrooms appetizer. The double nickle salmon and 8 ounce filet were perfectly done. Lots of comments about the $2.50 charge for bread. Plenty of wonderful food without the bread. Elle took great care of us, including some local Lubbock knowledge. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Very disappointed with my experience. I come to Lubbock every month and have tried lots of different spots. I kept waiting to go to double nickel and finally gave it a go tonight. First off I ordered my food and my salad came out 2 seconds before my steak arrived. No big slower night, I like to taste throughout my meal anyway. The steak it self was fine...nothing special but also not terrible, creamed corn tasted like it was frozen corn that hadn't been recooked. Again not terrible but not a 55$ entree either. (Also the menu had a different price for the ribeye but nonetheless) My bartender/server (I sat at the bar) not once checked in on me until the food was gone. For my money I will choose to return to west table or la sirena

Do not eat here. Among the worst dining experiences we’ve had. The ownership has an air of entitlement and arrogance, which we only found out because the management was pedestrian and useless. The food is more or less decent, nothing to write home about. Overall, If you’re looking for a good night out at a steakhouse, there are plenty of options around Lubbock. Save yourself the regret.

Ordered the K-Bob medium rare and was cooked to perfection with whipped potatoes and cream corn. Food was soooo good. Carter did an excellent job serving and was very attentive. We were greeted warmly by the hostesses and seated promptly. Overall 5 star rating and will definitely return again and again.
My wife and I went here for our anniversary. Restaurant was alerted to this through our reservation. We were seated in a booth, in the bar, and didn't even have a table cloth. Waiter was great, he greeted us and recognized our anniversary. I had to send my steak back twice due to it being cooked incorrectly, so as a result my wife and I didn't even get to enjoy our meal together. I would understand some of this if the restaurant was packed. It was not even half full, and the part that was full was crowded around each other and we were seated next to very loud tables.

The staff here is AMAZING to us, EVERY TIME we visit. The flavor of the food was fantastic and the cook on the protein was almost perfect! If I have to complain about anything... I am a little sad that they started charging for the bread service. We will definitely be back! Thanks Double Nickel!!

This was by far the best filet mignon I have ever had which made it the best 55th birthday I could have asked for! The noise level was a little high because we sat next to the bar but it was fantastic.

Having dined there several times, I found the experience to be less than before. We were interrupted several times. Three times to tell us about some complimentary drink that we had declined. The manager interrupted our conversation to tell us to let her know if we needed anything. At the end of the meal, some friends stopped by our table to visit and during that time, two waitstaff were in the way as they were boxing up our leftovers. There were just too many interruptions.
I cannot say enough about this restaurant!!! First class! We come here every year for our anniversary dinner. The atmosphere is so cozy & quiet, the food is absolutely amazing, and the staff is superb!!! Thank you Lisa West?

This place is old school fancy. No hats on in the building. Drunks are fantastic,food is out of this world, and the services matches. The desserts are all HUGE and very good, and they will even light the bananas foster on fire at your table if you want them too. If you ask for a to go wrap instead of a box, they wrap your leftovers in foil and make a swam out if it. I've never been anything but 100% pleased with my experience at the Double Nickel.
