I’m not from around here, but I was craving some fruit and decided to check out Frutería Vega. I wasn’t expecting a drive-through, but it was such a nice surprise! Service was super friendly, and everything I got was fresh and delicious. The fruit hit the spot, and the chicharrones were really good too. Definitely worth the stop!
We stopped here last month when we were traveling through Lubbock; we were on our solar eclipse chasing adventure. We love supporting local, and these folks did not disappoint with their amazing Texas hospitality and their yummy food! We had cheeseburgers, bacon-wrapped hot dogs (definitely get the pico de gallo and jalapeno on top), corn in a cup - awesome stuff, and agua frescas, which they kept refilling! We finally had to tell them no more because we wouldn't have time...
