Hot & Spicy Cajun Seafood & Bar

Let me tell you we didn’t even get to the food because the hostess was being extra ridiculous. She asked how many people were in our party and we said 3. She said just scan the QR code and add yourself to the waitlist like the party in front of you. Of course the QR was this crinkly messed up paper that the lady in front of me was having a hard time scanning so from 8 feet away she yells “you have to hold the paper flat!” Mind you this QR is down at knee level on the front of the hostess’ podium. So when it’s my turn to scan I too have to duck down and have a hard time getting this wrinkled paper to scan. And now the hostess is over there smirking at the fact that we are all having a hard time getting it to scan. She again just out loud says “you have to hold it flat”. I’m like what kind of place makes the customer manipulate a printed out piece of copy paper just to add themselves to the waitlist when there’s a perfectly good
iPad right behind the podium that clearly shows who all is on the waitlist (because I watched her read off some names). Fast forward about 5 minutes of waiting on the wait list a second employee says “anyone who is just standing around waiting has to be seated on the benches outside or wait in your car” when clearly we were the only party who didnt have a seat at this point.

Needless to say we took this as our cue that we weren’t appreciated even being there and they could do without even giving minor kindness to anyone who isnt able to quickly unlock their crinkled QR code nonsense.

We went to a nice seafood spot just down the road (were seated quickly without a QR waitlist) and had a fantastic meal and savored
every moment. Hook and Reel was the name for anyone who’s wondering and read this far.

Food was pretty good. Me and my family was visiting for out of town and we enjoyed it. The food was great and everything was seasoned pretty well. Our waiter was amazing. I hate I don't remember her name because she really deserves a shout out. She was attentive to our needs and checked on us often. Our drink never ran out. She even doubled bagged our left overs for us.

Service waitress was good kithen was horrible made my food wrong had to remake it. Ordered dry wings they made them wet. Took over 45 min

I ordered for pickup and only got a confirmation that my order would be ready in 15 min, no text or email stating it was ready and no confirmation #. I did get my food and it was great. Would definitely eat here again.

Food was bland. The lobster in my boil was sour and just had a horrible taste and feel. Honestly won't be back. Manager tried to say the lobster is cut fresh daily. Definitely not the case with the color it was.

Always great food when we come here

By far my favorite restaurant in Lubbock prices are amazing for seafood ans the food is always amazing come here 3-4 times a month I highly recommend .

My daughters and I had lunch here and were pleasantly surprised about their lunch menu, it made it slightly cheaper and a great price for them to try crawfish for the first time. We will defiantly be back and the kids said “if you like seafood you should come here”. “The sauce is amazing, we got mild in their hot & juicy special seasoning” 😂😍 It was delicious and fun, and the decorations were really cute! The staff is super friendly and helpful.

I had an incredible meal here. Everything was cooked perfectly and arrived at the table looking absolutely delicious.

The seafood boil was a standout, loaded with juicy shrimp, mussels, and golden corn on the cob. I also really enjoyed the fried basket. The breading was crispy and golden brown, paired with fresh lemon wedges that brightened up the whole dish. It was such a satisfying experience, and I will definitely be back again soon.

Been there multiple times and would definitely recommend this over hook and reel!! Great pricing got the combo H for me and my boyfriend with corn and broccoli, it was plenty for the both of us😊cheaper than hook and reel by 10-15$. Service was wonderful every time we went.
