One of my favorite places in Lubbock. The staff there recognizes you pretty quickly and knows your usual order. At least they do for me. The usual salsa is green and a bit warm. If you ask for it, they have a mild red. White cheddar queso. Highly recommended.
My 1st time here. I disliked that u have to stand in line to order your food and then go sit down. It took a good while before the food came out. I ordered huevo Ranchero and menudo... it was ok. The sauce on the eggs sucked and the beans had no flavor. The menudo was ok. 3 out of 5 stars for me.
This place has been out of control since COVID. Hours were not adjusted back to normal and prices have gone through the roof. They nickel and dime you on every single thing and even charge for cilantro/onion regardless of if you have purchased an entree or not. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else like Chelo’s or Jalisco’s for better food and better prices.
