I would give it -3 stars if I could. ABSOLUTELY TRASH CUSTOMER SERVICE. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. I REPEAT DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. If you place a to go order they will tell you 10-15 mins which is really 45 mins. They have attitudes and will give you all kinds of excuses as to why your food isn’t ready. 0/10 I DOT NOT recommend

Unfortunately, this visit was worse than the last mediocre one. Ordered an appetizer and made sure to state I wanted it before. After 20 minutes our waitress came out and said it wouldn’t be done until after our food…and was surprised when I decided to cancel it. Once our food came out, my wife’s bowl was missing advocado slices…when asked…they used them all for guacamole. Normally, not a big deal but this wasn’t brought to our attention by the staff before or during…only when asked. My empanadas were overcooked. Hopefully this place turns it around as we love led going here. All the staff seems unhappy and despise having to work there…which is the real kicker when the other things don’t go good on a visit.

Amber was our server at the Lubbock location. She was great!

I hardly ever give such a low review, but I just had to! Beans and rice tasted like they came out of a microwave, tacos were soggy, most of the meats were flavorless too. The only thing we really enjoyed was the salsa (but just barely). Service wasn’t that great either - had to keep asking for refills and felt like we were bothering our waitress with our presence. And no, they were not busy - only two tables (including ours) were in the restaurant. We are a family of 3! My husband’s alcohol was bland too. We left with upset and empty stomachs, cranky moods, and honestly couldn’t wait to leave.

On the Border Lubbock, you lost our business!

Ordered to go and couldn't get help for over 5 minutes while the restaurant was basically empty. 2 ladies walked past a couple of different times without saying anything to me.

Went in at 6 PM and only had one table. Very slow service to get drinks and chips and salsa. Got an order wrong. Asked for corn tortillas was served flour. The corn tortillas came 7 to 8 minutes after out got my fajitas a table that came in 10 minutes after us got their food before us took an hour for our food very unorganized and shorthanded. People are leaving at the front door, because apparently they only had one server. Probably won’t be back.

I have been to a few on the borders and the service has sucked but this one here in lubbock has outstanding service. I would love to give a shout out to our waitress Taijah! she was so nice and brought our food out so fast and it was delicious. I will be coming back to this on the border and will request her service everytime as long as she is available. She went truly above and beyond for me and my family to have a great experience. On the Border deserves more love from our community.

The food is excellent! The wait staff is even better! The best service in town! Ask for Baylee. She will treat you better than you ever have! Lubbock On The Border is the place to go!

So, as much as I would like to review this place, they never gave me the chance to do so. I ordered delivery, and the restaurant was taking so long that the door dash driver left. A second driver came and they were waiting for the food for a long time as well. After waiting over an hour, we decided to cancel our order. So I do not recommend this place unless you have time to wait, and wait, and wait.
