My boyfriend and I went to this place tonight thinking it was going to be something different and trust me it was. I ordered the number 1 and the number 2 the number 1 was the beef sandwich and what I got was nothing what it shown on the menu it was just a sandwich filled with beef and two greens peppers it was cold and soggy my boyfriends Chicago dogs were just hotdogs with a whole bunch of of relish and mustard that’s not a Chicago dog. The fries were terribly cold and I found a hair in my cheese sauce. The woman taking our order said she had to ring up everything separately so she rang up the hot dogs sandwich fries and drinks all separately. After I told her what we wanted she confused me so bad about how ordering went and read everything literally all separately 3 different times. This is my first and last time going here.

Absolutely loved it! My dipped big beef was so delicious and my Chicago dog was perfect. Anyone trying it please remember the bread is supposed to be soggy because it's dipped in the gravy and it gets so much of the flavor!!

Had a late lunch at Portillo's today. Chicago Dog, Sausage Sandwich, fries and cheese sauce.

Both entrees were very good. I got the hot peppers on the sausage sandwich which really brought out the flavors. Despite the fries being obviously frozen, they were good and the cheese sauce was much better than using ketchup!

Service was very fast and I found the workers very friendly and helpful. Location was very clean and I really enjoyed the decor.

In my opinion this is an excellent addition to Lubbock's fast food scene. I'll definitely be back.

Best place for Italian Beef and Chicago Style hot dogs you'll find anywhere, even in the Midwest. It's a narrow menu, but so is Shake Shack. What they do, they do super well.

Also, they have soft opened. Grand Opening is a couple weeks away. Pretty sure most of the issues people have posted out get ironed out after a couple weeks of practice. And as for loud, like it's a new restaurant in Lubbock during a holiday season- of course it's busy, this is what this town gets up for. :)

I did not hear when order was ready and they didn’t post it on the board. By the time I got my order it was not warm. The place was very busy. Prices are not clearly marked on items as you are ordering. I don’t plan on going back.

By far the worst Portillo’s location!! I ordered the classic Italian, and it had no flavor at all. The sandwich wasn’t dipped in gravy like it’s supposed to be, the meat wasn’t cut correctly, and there wasn’t nearly enough of it. Overall, the sandwich was extremely disappointing.

I’ve been to several other Portillo’s locations and have always loved the food, which makes this experience even more frustrating. This is by far the worst Portillo’s I’ve ever been to. Unfortunately, I don’t see myself coming back to this location, which is a bummer cause I was so excited to have one here in Lubbock.

We looked forward to trying this new restaurant but we’re sadly disappointed. We paid over $40 for two people and definitely could have paid way less somewhere else. The Italian beef sandwich was not flavorful at all and the and onion rings were pretty basic as well. Will not go back and can get better food at a better cost elsewhere. I did get the chocolate cake but it’s way better across the street!!

To be honest it was very disappointing. Dirty floor, Chile tasted like bad breath, the Philly number 1 was awful and tasted like old rancid meat (threw away the entire sandwich. Fries were ok. Hot dogs not good....how do you mess up a hot dog?

So much hype…. We asked a guy walking out and he steered us away. We should’ve listened. First impression was a dirty restaurant the floors were littered with old food and gunk. Looking up at the ceiling is the only way to make the food edible. The Italian sandwich beef tasted like the meat was bad. The hot dogs didn’t seem cooked at all. Tough scene.
