I have eaten at The Catch many times over the past years. I have only praise for the deliciously prepared catfish I received each time. Today, however, something was very off. I ordered the fried catfish basket as is my custom. I sat down in a booth, and within 90 seconds my food was given to me. Wow! I thought. This is great service. The fried catfish I received was so overcooked that it was very dry and difficult to eat. The breading was so thick and salty that I could not taste the fish. The French fries were equally hard and dry. I could not help but think maybe the fish and fries were leftovers and had been refried in order to serve them warm. Sometimes we do not get what we expect, but this was troubling for me. I will hope for better next time.

The Catch is great! Both times we have been there everything has been perfect. The swamp fries are so good and so is the coconut shrimp. My kids loved everything.

Absolutely not!! They let dogs inside the store that are not service animals. The dog was on a booth walking around. An employee, an older white woman, was petting the dog and without washing her hands went back to taking orders and serving food. Absolutely unsanitary and disgusting.

Picked up food today. The fries were good but the fish was a bit undercooked. My husband got oysters and they were nothing but crust and a hard oyster about the size of a pea inside. The price was lower than most seafood places in town but so was the quality.

This is great seafood at a reasonable price. I don’t usually call back to the kitchen and tell them how delicious and fresh the food was, but I have here the last several times. Hot, Fresh and Tasty!! The grilled veggies are a great alternative to fries if you’re watching carbs!! The staff even recognized us, now that we’ve become regulars.

We stopped by for dinner at The Catch in Lubbock TX. Dad and my brother both ordered the Catfish plate . This comes with fries and Hush Puppies. My brother also ordered extra Hush Puppies. I ordered the Catfish and Shrimp Plate. This plate also comes with fries and Hush Puppies. I also ordered a bowl of Gumbo. I was pleasantly surprised how really good the fish and shrimp were. The fish was crispy and the Shrimp cooked perfectly. The Hush Puppies were the best I've ever eaten. Unfortunately not the same for the Gumbo. The dish lacked flavor, I could not detect the dark roux flavor. I also noticed the thin slices of sausage were cut in half I really could not taste it. Overall it was a great experience.
