The Pecan Grill Reviews
Had reservation, restaurant at about 20% occupancy, waited for server for over 10 minutes. Waited for drinks for another 10-15. Ordered filet medium, came out rare, sent back, came out medium to well, no flavor, also very fatty, spit out my first two bites. So disappointed!! Scallops, while tasty, smelled terrible. The server gave us free desserts for our wait. I would not recommend this place. Very expensive and steaks at Texas Roadhouse are better. That is not a compliment....read full review
The drinks were amazing. We ordered a light dinner at the bar. Between the drinks and the food not to mention the service we had a lovely evening!

The Pecan Grill offers good food, with many customers finding it delicious and perfectly prepared. The atmosphere is upscale but not outstanding, with some reviews describing it as very nice and over the top. The restaurant has a nice upscale door and prompt service, although there can be occasional delays, such as in serving a toddler's grilled cheese. One popular item is the aftershock cookie with Shiner Bock beer ice cream. The Florentino steak for two received mixed reviews; some found it disappointing, while others enjoyed their meals like the fried steak or brunch dishes, which were served at the right temperature and flavorful. The staff includes some students from the hospitality program at Tech, and the bartender, Melissa, is praised for her attentive service and good memory for drinks. The food is cooked perfectly and is delicious, with reasonable pricing for the quality. The ambiance is generally very nice, making it a pleasant place for dining. Recently, guests praised the stellar service, especially from a staff member named Alexis G, calling him knowledgeable and professional, which made their experience even better. The restaurant’s atmosphere was also described as excellent and very classy, with some guests calling the cheeseburger one of the best they ever had, served in a jalepeno bun and costing a bit more but worth it. While some found the service to be only okay and noted that drinks were sometimes left empty, the overall experience was positive, especially for special celebrations. Despite minor service issues and the occasional wait, the restaurant remains a popular spot for good food and a nice setting.
