The Ruffled Cup Lubbock

Came here as a stop on our way around Palo Duro Canyon and it was...okay. Definitely nothing to write home about and, by the end of it, I think we (my sister, my wife and I) all had more bad things to say about it than good.

If you like super balanced sweets, not just a sugar rush, then this bakery won't be for you. :( The cupcakes are sweet, the icing is sweet and it's just a little too 'heavy'. The 'iced' cookies are NOT your typical sugar cookies that you might just get from regular cookie dough, they taste similar to the super soft, cornstarch (?) cookies that they serve at Wal-Mart and other grocery stores - a strange aftertaste. :s

We got several cupcakes and all had a similar issue: no flavor beyond 'sweet'. The Salted Caramel was just a basic vanilla cupcake with some sweet icing and a -drizzle- of salted caramel barely over the top.

The service was meh, at best. I asked about the cookies and whether they were traditional sugar cookies and the girl behind the counter was just like 'Oh, yeah.' and didn't seem to know much about anything. I also asked her about a couple of the cupcake flavors and had to instruct her to put a couple back as I wasn't trying to buy them, I just literally asked what was IN them.

The biggest and easiest change they could make here: LABEL EVERYTHING. There were NO labels on most of the items so you had to ask the uninterested service people what it was. I still don't know what a 'Ruffled Truffle' is - all I know is that it looks like a chocolate cupcake with teal icing?
It would not be that difficult to buy some black metal plates from Amazon and write the name of the cupcake and a super basic description of what it is. I.E - 'Wedding Cake - A vanilla cupcake with almond icing'

Overall, not really impressed. I've had better cupcakes locally and about equal cupcakes from a grocery store. :s

I will NEVER come back to this bakery!!!! New in town wanted to grab my friends some dessert and was rushed from the second i opened the door, wouldn’t let me finish a sentence without saying “what else” before i got to finish speaking. She told me I could bag my own pastry’s and that the bags were on the counter. She was rolling her eyes and she rung the customer up behind me bc she wasn’t happy that i wanted to add something else. I don’t think i’ve ever met someone as rude as this girl in customer service EVER!!! I’m know multiple business owners in town and I will make sure everyone knows about how terrible this bakery is. She also told us if we didn’t get out of her bakery she would call the POLICE ON US but we were trying to bag our OWN desserts bc she wouldn’t. Terrible Terrible Terrible!!!!!!!

I love this bakery. Every dessert is crafted to perfection. The owner and team are always kind and helpful. It goes without saying that their cupcakes are amazing. Thankful we have this bakery in LBK!

It was undercooked and overpriced. It is subpar for an upscale bakery.

Drove all the way from New Mexico on a Saturday afternoon to try this place only to walk up and find the door locked and whom I presume to be an employee standing on the sidewalk telling me they were closed. The sign on the door said they were open until 6:30 on Saturdays and we arrived at 3:15; no sign on the door or anything. Super irritating.

Great place to go if you have a sweet tooth. They have several options to choose from.

This was my first time going. I ordered five cupcakes. Classic, red velvet, cookies and cream, peanut butter, and strawberry. They were all good but the strawberry was my favorite. Peanut butter was my daughters. I would def go again.

Nasty, Sour Smelling, Dirty!!! My family and I (A group of Six from San Antonio) Came through stopped with excitement and then left rather quickly after we had a few bites of a few cupcakes and a few brownies and a slice of cheesecake, This place was rather in such disarray with staff that didn’t look professionally dressed and dirty, The place had such a sickening smell of soured Icing and the treats we ate or barely ate were overly sweet small cupcakes with a big plop of nasty sour Icing just all around dirty and nasty…… We tossed our treats and left!!!!☹️

Someone provided these at a work babyshower and they were the best tasting cupcakes I've ever had! Would definitely recommend

Ordered a wedding cake here and at Sam’s ruffled
Cup sucked everyone in my family tried it and liked Sam’s better it was cheaper and both were Chocolate plus ruffled
Cup put two different types of Chocolate was not what I ordered did not listen. I paid 86 $ was not worth it. Sam’s is worth it and cheaper and better and left a tip I want my tip back.
