Over cook chicken tenders, cold fries. Dirty, uncleaned eating area, trash on the floor. A staff of 4 on a Wednesday mid afternoon. 2 of which were play fighting in the kitchen, 1 who made herself a salad and was eating in the kitchen. 1 who was on his cell phone behind the cash register.
First red flag I noticed was that when we came in, there was not any clean tables to sit at. I wound cleaning off a table myself. We waited almost an hour for our buzzer to go off before I finally went and asked for an ETA on our food. Their response was someone probably took our food. This place was a dumpster fire and should have just shut down for the day. They gave us a refund instead of a remake and we left unhappy. Twisted Root Burger Co. offers some of the best burgers around, with unique combinations and a great pickle bar. The mushroom burger with grilled onion and jalapeno cheese fries are delicious. They also serve sodas made with pure cane sugar, including an outstanding cream soda. The atmosphere is awesome, with a full bar that is fun. The staff is friendly, but some staff could be a little nicer and service can be slow. While the place can get loud and busy, it's definitely worth the wait. A family-friendly spot with high chairs available, although food is a little pricey for what you get and they are often out of some items.
