“Driven by Braums a million times. First time in a decade of visiting Plano and had my first burger here.

It’s on the level of any fast food burger. Crinkle fries are average. Guacamole burger is…fine where the guacamole feels like a premade frozen version. Their chicken finger? Looks like most fast food places. The mushroom bacon double thick patty is definitely better.

However for value? Pretty great. $1.30 plus tax for a small frozen yogurt in a cone? Great. Exchanging your drink for a milk shake with toppings? Great. Buying frozen foods and milk from their retail side? Interesting. My nephew loves their milk. Who knew they sold milk.

I’m an American who has lived in Asia, so that being said, the first swig felt like it could use a touch more sweetness, but by the second slurp I was back in my Asian element & it was perfect. The skillet cookie was nothing special and not worth the calories or price. However the peach cobbler cookie is possibly the best desert I have ever eaten in my life. The acidity and sweetness of the peaches with the warm hot cookie. Lastly the amazing white cream all over the cookie made me blush and jump around after every bite. “Don't go there - their consistently friendly service and super yummy treats will just form a habit that you won't be able to kick. Stick with the fake ice cream like substance that McD's sells. You should be safe, then... if you survive.

But, if you're going to ignore my warning and go, anyway, grab the app and sign up for rewards and specials. The periodic feeling of accomplishment helps to suppress the feeling that maybe you shouldn't be having more than one treat per day. But, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, right?

Andy's is a local chain selling these devilishly good treats. They seem to be located mostly North in the Dallas/Frisco area. But there are a few exceptions a little further South - closer to Dallas. I used to make a point to visit Andy's whenever I was in the Frisco area. But, then they opened this one right in Allen near my work! Nooo! I had self-control until then. Oh well, there's no fighting it. Maybe I'll explore some of the other options.
