We’ve been to the McAlister’s in Lufkin a few times and the staff is always so kind and welcoming but the food has been sub par. For our last visit, I ordered the berry salad with chicken but some of the lettuce and greens were rancid and there was a disappointing amount of chicken on it. It’s been a few visits with meals that were not of McAlister quality and we will probably not return. I hope they can improve their food quality standards.

This is hands-down, my favorite McAllister‘s. Whenever I am on a road trip, I make a conscious decision to pull over at this specific one on my way to Houston. They will always have my business. The food is Always fresh and the staff is incredibly friendly.

Madison Hamilton, Denitra Watkins, and the manager Thomas were really kind and made my birthday celebration extra special! Each of them came over to personally wish me a happy birthday when I was having lunch with a friend on July 4th. Madison and Denitra had just had birthdays so we birthday girls took a picture together. Thomas brought over a fresh baked cookie to help celebrate. It was an all around wonderful experience!
