The meat on their burgers are paper thin & crumbly fall apart , fries were cold, asked for no onions , when I got the burger it was full of onions , I told waitress, she took my plate & told them in the kitchen to take off the onions , it still had onion taste on it , what they should have done was made a new burger , I will not be going back , I've been there like 4 times and not satisfied with their food

Cafe 290 is a great change to our dining experience in the Taylor, TX area. From great breakfast selections to amazing entree choices, this restaurant has it all. I believe the greatest quality this location possesses is the staff onsite. Marisol gave us an opportunity to overview the menu and came back with a much needed enthusiasm in the food service industry. Ken, the owner, came by to ask if anything additional was needed. The queso was very good, I tried the altogether and it was interesting but didn't really come together how I hoped. I think the dish may just not be for me though, it's not really Cafe 290s fault. That said, I can't judge the rest of their menu because I didn't eat it.

The cups are the wide kind that mean you don't run out too quickly if you drink a lot during your meal, which is pretty nice.
