Delicious food, loved the adventure bowl and the tri tip salad was good (but I recommend the hot meat!). Hearty and fresh. Outdoor seating only, no heaters

Unbelievable brisket burger and tacos!!! super friendly staff, nice outdoor dining. Highly recommend.

What? No brisket? Wasn’t even on the menu, which was a shocker since all the reviews bragged about it, and the reason we spent our 1 dinner there while in Marfa. Tri-tip was just ok, but it’s a poor meat choice for bbq. Where’s the brisket?!. Sauce provided was just ok. Dip dip was tasty. Potato salad sweet and surprisingly tasty. Cornbread was outstanding. All outdoor seating which is nice, but it looked like they had indoor seating that they weren’t using - prob fear from Covid days, but I think we’re past that. Seems our expectations were too high. 4 stars is generous by Texas BBQ standards.

Fantastic bbq dinner last night with 2 different favours of ribs. The curried beans and sweet potatoe salad were fantastic. The flavour highlight for me were the collards, a little tart, a little sweet and all around delicious. Service was fast and cordial. Folks in the line up were friendly and happy to chat with us tourists. Seating was all outside so bundle up. Lots of paper towel at the tables so dig in and enjoy.

My co-adventurer and i made plans specifically to include where to eat and on what days to maximize our experience from Austin region to wrstTx, and No I didn't spell that wrong. Marfa. To a town that could use a little pick me up... here's a thought... Try showing up when you say you will be available on the world wide web. Because guess what, people travel from all over and actually read references from influences across the globe and most importantly the state. To be nominated for a James Beard award and not be current with your street or door advertising compared to your World Wide Web is not only a gross misuse of your popularity but also the www.

Excellent brisket. Best I've had outside of Cooper's in Llano. It has the right vibe for a grade A BBQ

Best brisket in Texas. I've lived in Texas for 27 years, and ate plenty of brisket throughout this state. Their brisket and turkey are the best I've ever eaten.

One of my favorite things about being a recent Marfa transplant is that now I have the opportunity to try all the places that I wouldn't have the chance to hit on tourist time, and Convenience West is one of those places. You know as soon as you roll up that they are not playing. Line of people outside. A grill big enough to sleep 2. The menu written in Sharpie on some butcher paper.I ordered the rib torta and the reaction from the lady at the register was "hell yeah! You're gonna love that one." And she was right. The sandwich plus a side of cajun red beans were more than even a seasoned eater like myself could put away in one attempt, but damn if I didn't try. I hated the idea of any of this excellent meal going to waste.Barbecue places can be really hit or miss. I've been to restaurants that traffic in dry meat you're expected to soak in sauce to make it palatable. This is not one of those spots. Their meats, their entrees, and their sides are all absolutely killer. I'm honestly looking forward to coming back.

Not open on a Saturday night at 5pm. No notice. No sign. Nothing on their facebook or website. Would have been nice to have a heads up....

Absolutely is the best bbq in all of Texas! Can't believe I never left a review before today. Try everything! But if you're just visiting for a short amount of time and can only get one meal while you're there I highly recommend the ribs, the brisket and the corn. Seating is outside and the line can get long but there is water outside for you to grab a cup. Also, once they sell out that's that. Only open Friday and Saturday. We're 6 hours away and it's worth the trip to marfa just for the bbq alone.

Excellent brisket, some of the best I’ve had. Serving included cuts from the point and the flat, both were moist and flavorful. Didn’t order anything else, but highly recommend trying.

Amazing BBQ and sides. We were lucky to eat here both evenings while in the area. We eat a lot of BBQ and highly recommend them if you are visiting. The locals must know they have a great BBQ joint in town and how lucky you are! The brisket was moist, had a great bark and flavor. Just fantastic! We only order moist brisket cause to us fat is flavor. But you could always order lean. The pork ribs were moist and meaty and just good! The sausage is very good. It’s different from most places but in a good way. The turkey was moist and had a good smoke flavor. And when you think it can’t get any better… you have those sides! Try the carrot dip dip. They are famous for it. Don’t let the word carrot scare you off. It’s really tasty and comes with a lot of Fritos. The kale salad is a great healthy option and it’s a good portion enough for 2-3 people. The beef jerky salad is also a big portion and quite good. The sweet potato salad is delicious. Don’t let the sweet potato name scare you off. Just tastes like amazing potato salad. The street corn salad is another thumbs up. And another standout is a nice crew. Thank you Pitmaster Mark, his wife Khaki, and crew for an amazing BBQ experience. - the BBQ Freaks, Tammy and Craig

I've lived here for almost 6 years and never tried this place. So I go online to place an order, this is how it was set up. Well starting that week it changed to come stand in line. First come, first serve. The line and wait wasted bad but the sun was too hot, definitely need more shade covering. The brisket, ribs and sweet potato salad was on point. Juicy, seasoned and the sweet potato salad very good.Had a slice of the chocolate cake. And OMG! They have to list it as coca cola cake. Because this isn't just chocolate cake. It's a blast to my past. It's yummy, rich coca cola cake.Thank you
