just found a wire in my salsa....
Husband got the taco salad and it was delicious and the shell was so fresh… He said best he’s had in a while. I got the chicken enchiladas with each of the sauces…sour cream was my favorite but they were all delicious!! We came in 45 minutes before closing and they were super friendly and nice. Fast and friendly service.
I hate to complain but costumer service goes a long way. I waited in front to be seated along with others behind me and I watched waitresses go back and forth. El Charro Mexican Restaurant Bar and Grill is a popular spot for a casual Mexican meal. The food is often described as "ok" and "mid", but some dishes can be hit or miss. The molcajete, a signature dish, has faced criticism for its poor preparation, including dry meat, unclean shrimp, and an incorrect type of cheese. However, the rice and refried beans have been praised as a highlight. Service can be spotty, with long waits for refills and attention from waitstaff, though some staff members have been commended for their fast and friendly service.
Customers have enjoyed specific dishes like the taco salad, which was noted for its freshness, and chicken enchiladas with various sauces, especially the sour cream. However, there have been reports of overcooked fried shrimp and mediocre hamburgers and fajitas. Despite some mixed experiences, El Charro remains a solid option for those looking for a quick and affordable meal, and it's recommended to "come hungry."
