Parr Vineyards & Cellars - Winery & Tasting Room

Not a very friendly place I felt very uncomfortable at this place. We were ask to leave because we were getting a little loud.

Lovely tasting room, the owners are fabulous people who began their Vinyards in the early 2000s.So much history in the former Saloon which has some original decor and bar.Quite a beautiful place.We enjoyed it thoroughly.The wine was very nice... would highly recommend the Dessert Wine.C'est Parfait!

Shelly was the best!!! My friends and I were traveling from out of town and she made us feel so at home and comfortable. The wine was great!! Very heartfelt stories behind each batch of wine! Would definitely come back again.

The greeting was not the most welcoming but did seem to get a little warmer with time. We asked for a glass of Portuguese red wine and a glass of sangria. We were served two tastings of rose…um ok. Then my husband, who ordered the glass of Portuguese red wine, was served only a tasting and I was finally given the sangria I requested from the start. As my husband suspected, we were charged for the tastings we never requested or ordered. Very strange experience for sure.

I haven’t had wine in 13 years due to migraines from preservatives. I can drink Parr’s wind and it is excellent! I can drink it because they use limited preservatives because they hand pick their grapes the old fashioned, European way. Hand picking eliminates unwanted critters in your grapes! Enough said! Truly fantastic wine and better for you!

We absolutely LOVE Parr. Every time we come into town we make sure to stop by. For one, how often do you go to a winery where the ambiance of the venue makes the wine taste AMAZiNG until you get it home and you say “I don’t remember it tasting this way.” We never feel that way with Parr. We continuously have multiple bottles at home to enjoy, and they never disappoint. And while the wines are top notch, the Parr’s are what make the visit complete. They are amazing hosts and always make us feel at home. Dilek is the epitome of hospitality. Not only does she remember you when you come in, but she welcomes you like you’re family. This is a no-miss stop when you visit Mason, Tx.

The owners are the sweetest and in my wife's perpetual hunt for the driest red wines found our new favorite place. Their Touriga 2015 and 2016 rate the highest on my wife's dry red list and I enjoy thier iced down Sangria on a hot Texas day. If you find yourself in the mason area a must stop on your way through.
