Family Restaurants in Maud, TX

“When you live in small communities it is hard to find a restaurant or cafe that serves good food and can afford to stay open. This was the second time that Kenneth and I came to eat here. We live about twenty minutes away and have been reading all of the reports of this little cafe. First let me say that whoever the cook is, they definitely know what they are doing! They prepared our meal exactly like we wanted and the food was seasoned perfectly. It is definitely down home cooking! Each time we came there was a different waitress and there is only one to work the whole front including seating, cashier, answering the telephone, taking orders, serving and making sure each customer is taken care of. Yes it takes a little while to get your order and that is because most of the order is cooked as soon as the order is turned in. So don't be in a hurry or call your order in beforehand. Just sit back and enjoy your wait. The atmosphere is quiet and filled with decorations of football uniforms, cheerleader outfits, and newspaper clippings of Maud from bygone areas.
I pray that the people all around will support this little cafe and it will be able to remain open to serve up delicious food for it's patrons. Thank you for you service to the public. My husband and I greatly appreciate your hard work, all of you.“
