Restaurants near Maud

“When you live in small communities it is hard to find a restaurant or cafe that serves good food and can afford to stay open. This was the second time that Kenneth and I came to eat here. We live about twenty minutes away and have been reading all of the reports of this little cafe. First let me say that whoever the cook is, they definitely know what they are doing! They prepared our meal exactly like we wanted and the food was seasoned perfectly. It is definitely down home cooking! Each time we came there was a different waitress and there is only one to work the whole front including seating, cashier, answering the telephone, taking orders, serving and making sure each customer is taken care of. Yes it takes a little while to get your order and that is because most of the order is cooked as soon as the order is turned in. So don't be in a hurry or call your order in beforehand. Just sit back and enjoy your wait. The atmosphere is quiet and filled with decorations of football uniforms, cheerleader outfits, and newspaper clippings of Maud from bygone areas.
I pray that the people all around will support this little cafe and it will be able to remain open to serve up delicious food for it's patrons. Thank you for you service to the public. My husband and I greatly appreciate your hard work, all of you.”

“Stopped by for lunch on our way back from visiting family. Restrooms and facilities were clean, very friendly service, and the food was devoured by my tiny picky eater children. Can’t ask for more than that!”

“I enjoy going by sonic daily to get 3 drinks. unfortunately since it's gotten hot, whenever I come in the afternoon about 1 or 2 times a week the sweet tea has soured. I knoe they prabobly keep the tea that's made in the morning til it's gone, but after 8 or 9 hours it's gone bad. I've waited multiple times for them to make a new batch but it gets tiring having to wait 10 or 15 minutes. I thibk they need to dump and remake at like 2 or 3 in the afternoon. or maybe only make 1 pitcher in the morning then the next at half full or some kind of rotation.”

“I ordered the fajitas with rice instead of the beans. I had all 3 meats (chicken, beef and shrimp). The food was hot and really delicious. I really enjoyed it. The girl that took my order was really nice and helpful. I would order from Amigo Juan again. I got the food to go so I didn't eat inside the restaurant but it looked okay from the entrance where I was waiting.”

“my husband, 2 year old and i came in 15 minutes before they closed. we are on a 4 hour road trip and needed to eat and stretch. they were so kind and understanding, we both felt so bad about coming in right before they closed, they treated us kindly and took care our needs. 10/10 service, the ladies up here are so kind 💕”

“This Subway, is the best Subway in my area. The staff are very welcoming. Each one of them are truly sandwiched artist. From the word go, i noticed how this young lady, the name in the picture. From beginning to end, she gave her task, her all. Y’all, my sandwich looked like the one in the picture adds. ( sorry I didn’t post the picture, I didn’t take one, because I dove right into my sandwich.) lmbo! Anyway. This lady, put her all into my sandwich. She and the whole crew are the reason I keep coming back. I eat there at least 3 x a week. I have tried other Subways because this one is a little bit of a drive but that was a mistake. I will just have to make the drive. It’s more than worth it!!! Thank you for great customer service and the best sandwiches!!!! I am now a forever customer and it’s all because of people like her and the crew. She takes great pride in everything she does. God bless you and this Subway.”

“What a shame, letting Managers assault fellow employees, then refuse to make Him available to talk to. Then have Your Father, also a Manager & store owner of Sonic Drive-In to call & tell the Police that they will not be talking to His Son (the suspect and co-manager). Then brag about what You did to fellow workers, friends, & family. Corruption must run pretty deep when all managers from Assistant Manager to District Manager have to cover it up. Guess Corporate is the only Managers that are over Their heads have the common sense to know Corruption & Cover ups. It is sad though how many other employees have been harassed & assaulted, & not only the ones that work at this location, but at the Hooks & New Boston stores as well. If so innocent, look at this”

“The food was fresh, temperature was perfect and the atmosphere was great. I know that sounds odd for a fast food restaurant but it was clean and the staff was friendly. Great place to stop for a quick bite to eat while you're getting gas”

“Great food, friendly service. I was 1st customer of the day. Food was prepared quick. Lost a star due to the socializing with another employee (I guess, he was in the kitchen, got 2 drinks and left). Socializing meant cook got my order wrong, and he took the order. Asked if I wanted fries, tots or onion rings. I got soggy fries instead of tots. They were meant to be reheated later. Fries don't reheat well in the microwave. Big Rig parking next door!”

“This five star review is for Austin. I believe that was his name. My husband and I are over the road truck drivers and we were looking for somewhere to get our first morning coffee and re-up on some water. We ended up getting stuck in your towns “no through truck allowed”roads and got pulled over after already placing our order online! So, I called the Starbucks to let them know that we wouldn’t be able to come pick it up, and Austin offered to bring it to us! We were just around the corner by the Walmart. It was incredibly sweet of him to offer. This was an awesome, amazing way to go above and beyond for your customers! We go to Starbucks all over the country and this is the kindest gesture that anyone has ever offered! He was very understanding of our situation being in a big truck, in a small town, and not being able to cancel the order. Thank you!!!

“I waited less than 5 minutes for a 10 piece of the Taco Bell chicken nuggets and they gave me extra for the wait! They were cooked to order! Nice and hot, very DELICIOUS! Y’all are great!”

“What the heck is goin on here!? I came into the restaurant about 20min till closing to order take-out and take a leak. Maybe it's been years since I've been to a McDonald's, but MAN, the fries were smoking! Super crispy, not too salty, not too greasy. The nuggets, same deal, super crispy and delicious. I was just traveling through town on a road trip but this McDonald's is doing it right!

Add on the positive attitude and did I mention... I walked in 20 minutes before closing. I was given my drink while I waited for my order. Unfortunately no sweet n sour at the time but this was probably my best experience in a McDonald's within the states.”
