“They are very good people. My sister has worked here for so many years. My sister does a lot when she is packing the food into the boxes and everything else. They work with my sister when she has to take time off for my mom who has been in a nursing home and trying to go to appointments with her and dealing with my moms stuff. I even let her use my truck all the time while I was on the road. I appreciate everything my sister has done for my mom and handling everything she has to since our mom has been in the nursing home for a very long time. I asked my sister a year or more ago if she would like to have my truck and she said yes. So just over a week ago after I got it paid off I signed the title over to my truck to my sister. She well deserved it so much for what she does for our mother. So I just wanted to say thank you Chicken Express for everything you have done for my sister Laura Ellis. You all are awesome”

“Needed a good place to stop for dinner on a road trip and Walk-On's did not disappoint! The food was delicious and our server Seagan P was lovely. We sat outside and food came out quickly. Seagan was attentive and kind, even sending us with some to go drinks for our drive home. Great experience!”

“Seriously good food!!! We tried the brisket, sausage, chicken fried ribeye, twice-baked potatoes, mac & cheese, and green beans, and everything was delicious! We even had the banana pudding and blackberry cobbler for dessert, too! Our waitress was very nice and the food came out quickly. The decor is really fun with an old car and lots of taxidermy. We even came back the next day to try the pulled pork, short rib, and cheesecake!”

“Started with the onion rings and they were both disappointing. They were oversized, multi layered rings, perfectly crisp and golden.After that, a wedge was about all I could eat and only half at that. Husband had the bacon cheeseburger and it was perfectly done and delicious.Emily, our waitress, looked like she was about to give birth however her attentiveness was stellar. Blessings!”

“I've been here twice and the food has been really good. The first time the woman in the window which was not mother Kelly. This woman was just very rude. I came back a couple of days later because the food as I said was good. Service was a little better it was a different lady at the window. But absolutely no appreciation that the customers there is and I feel a little bit rushed while they're trying to take the order wasn't trying to read the handwritten menu on the window. I will say the mashed potatoes were in need of salt and second time I tried them I'm pretty sure they're instant. The brown gravy that my daughter got she couldn't eat it. I guess it's canned gravy? And she typically likes brown gravy on her chicken fried chicken and mashed potatoes. I got her white gravy a couple of days later and she liked it. But the mashed potatoes were still kind of bland. The salt help them a bunch but again I think they're instant. The candy yams were absolutely delicious. Add the chicken fried chicken was terrific. Third time today I tried to go through the drive-thru because my daughter wanted to eat there. we're waiting in the Drive-Thru with one car in front of us and they will not move forward. No employee looked out the window or ask them to move forward like they would typically do. Where did there about 10 minutes and then finally somebody opened the window and asked them to move forward. They move forward barely enough for us to kind of reach the window and read the menu. But no acknowledgement from the employee that we were there that she would take our order or anything. So I waited another 5 minutes. Nobody opened the window so we went somewhere else.Brother Kelly is a terrific cook and a wonderful person. But the employee she has running the window or ruining her business.”

“There are so many five-star reviews on here for good reason, but I figure I’ll add my two cents. Alley Cats was an unexpected gem for us when we visited town and stumbled across it. Between the great beer selection, circa-1940s Pullman lounge car and very friendly owner and staff, this is a place not to be missed. We were there in the evening and didn’t have coffee, but I imagine it’s superb. Highly recommend.”

“Mannn this place is amazing!! The food is spot on for perfection. By the size of it you’d probably think otherwise but nothing beats a hole in the wall. They were super busy in house and with to go but the young lady was holding it all together greatly. I would suggest going early or getting to go if you don’t like small spaces lol. The birria tacos were amazing as we’ll as the Chilaquiles was the absolute best I’ve ever had and honestly I’d drive just to get that! Portion size was very nice, come hungry or you’ll be getting a to go box. Overall, definitely a must try!!!”

“Whether you are just passing through or a Texarkana native, Pecan Point is worth your time. The staff ate very attentive. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was chill: cool without trying too hard. Texarkana may not offer too much competition in the brewery/gastropub realm, but this place is still a gem! P.S. Do yourself a favor; order the lemon raspberry cheescake.”

“We stumbled upon this place online when stopping in Texarkana. I have given 5 stars to other Mexican restaurants because I didn’t realize it could be this good. The food simply put was fantastic. It’s hidden away in a small strip mall but is an absolute gem of a restaurant. We got to speak to the couple that runs the place after we ate and they stressed how d everything was fresh and it showed. This place knocked other places down to 3 stars in comparison. The owners were fantastic and friendly people. I wish you all were in North Carolina. I can say that since we travel a lot, we will be back!”

“Thank you Mr. TJ, for an amazing dining experience! We are still mind blown at the quality and flavors of our lunch. This little gem of a restaurant is clean and efficient. First, I was in awe of the service; I called to check that they were opened for lunch and Mr. TJ texted me their menu ahead of time. The extensive menu made it so hard to decide what to get but we got: gumbo, smothered oxtail with southern greens and candied yams, and chicken wings with cajun fries and cabbage. You can taste the care and passion put into the food. The oxtail was so tender and every bite a flavor explosion. The gumbo was spicy and filling. The wings, crispy and tender, just wonderful! Mr. TJ said some of these recipes have been in his family 4 generations! Every dish tastes homemade, like something your mom or grandma has made. If you're in the Texarkana area, you must stop in! Also, the sweet tea is the best I've ever had and perfect to go with your meal! Thank you for a wonderful meal!”
