“I think I eat here more than anyone. So often, I've noticed inconsistencies with the portions, based on who is prepping the plates. Knowing this, I've ordered two large sandwiches instead of one large. With some, you have to take it to go. I think the scale isn't used too often.Parking: I'm glad they finally removed the concrete curbs in the middle of the parking lot”

“First time I went out to eat with my biological mother since I couldn't tell you when and they did not disappoint. Waitress could've been a little more attentive but it was right when they were trying to clean up from lunch rush and she was busy. All in all, it's a great place to get real food or as much as the ungodly world/government will let us have unless we kill it ourselves which they wanna take away as well and it's gonna happen too. It's all been told over 2000 years ago what was gonna happen and a lot already has so I just pray people open their eyes. Or let God do it because it does say in the Bible that no one comes to the father except through Jesus but you keep reading and it also says we are only saved because God chose us to be his adopted children, those of us that actually believe and don't just say it for recognition anyway. But He wants for everyone to come to the knowledge of Christ but wait here's where these works we were all told about in church being led by a preacher that doesn't truly believe in the gospel either or he wouldn't say the things he says or do the things he does. This world is slipping away and the King is coming! EVERY KNEE SHALL BOW AND EVERY TONGUE SHALL CONFESS HIM AS LORD. Sad part about that is it will be too late according to the Bible I read so if your life is not mostly governed by God then you're not listening once again”

“We hadn’t been for almost a year until tonight due to slow service, food not great, etc. Decided to give it another try tonight. So glad we did. Our server (Addy) was excellent. Food was out quick and delicious. Drinks refilled without asking. Everything you expect when you go out to eat. We will definitely be back soon.”

“Seriously good food!!! We tried the brisket, sausage, chicken fried ribeye, twice-baked potatoes, mac & cheese, and green beans, and everything was delicious! We even had the banana pudding and blackberry cobbler for dessert, too! Our waitress was very nice and the food came out quickly. The decor is really fun with an old car and lots of taxidermy. We even came back the next day to try the pulled pork, short rib, and cheesecake!”

“stopped here while driving from wisconsin to texas and had an absolutely perfect experience. the restaurant is spotlessly clean, the service is friendly and very quick, and the food was all excellent. every bite was served freshly cooked, piping hot, and expertly seasoned. even the simple vegetable sides were somehow the best i’ve ever had. the desserts were also delicious and tasted homemade. prices were very reasonable—cash preferred! worth a stop if traveling through texarkana and also worth going out of your way for simple, classic home cooking done in exactly right. really a special place.”

“This is such a long drive from where I live, so I don't get to stop often, but it is one of the best coffee stops in the area. There is such a wide variety of flavors. I always just tell them an idea of what I am craving, and they nail it each time. Highly recommend.”

“There are so many five-star reviews on here for good reason, but I figure I’ll add my two cents. Alley Cats was an unexpected gem for us when we visited town and stumbled across it. Between the great beer selection, circa-1940s Pullman lounge car and very friendly owner and staff, this is a place not to be missed. We were there in the evening and didn’t have coffee, but I imagine it’s superb. Highly recommend.”

“Mannn this place is amazing!! The food is spot on for perfection. By the size of it you’d probably think otherwise but nothing beats a hole in the wall. They were super busy in house and with to go but the young lady was holding it all together greatly. I would suggest going early or getting to go if you don’t like small spaces lol. The birria tacos were amazing as we’ll as the Chilaquiles was the absolute best I’ve ever had and honestly I’d drive just to get that! Portion size was very nice, come hungry or you’ll be getting a to go box. Overall, definitely a must try!!!”

“Thank you Mr. TJ, for an amazing dining experience! We are still mind blown at the quality and flavors of our lunch. This little gem of a restaurant is clean and efficient. First, I was in awe of the service; I called to check that they were opened for lunch and Mr. TJ texted me their menu ahead of time. The extensive menu made it so hard to decide what to get but we got: gumbo, smothered oxtail with southern greens and candied yams, and chicken wings with cajun fries and cabbage. You can taste the care and passion put into the food. The oxtail was so tender and every bite a flavor explosion. The gumbo was spicy and filling. The wings, crispy and tender, just wonderful! Mr. TJ said some of these recipes have been in his family 4 generations! Every dish tastes homemade, like something your mom or grandma has made. If you're in the Texarkana area, you must stop in! Also, the sweet tea is the best I've ever had and perfect to go with your meal! Thank you for a wonderful meal!”

“I had a sweet tea and a pork chimichanga. Service was great, the chimichanga had a nice crisp to the tortilla. House chips were warm and fresh, salsa had me reaching for the tea which was also good. Sweet but not overly and it didn't have that tap water flavor. Price was about $20”

Since I came from far away, they brought me so much food, so I was upset that I couldn't eat it all. heIt's delicious and full of recognition, which is the icing on the cake.I hope you stay healthy and happy in another country!By the way, fried noodles or fried rice are the main menu items.”
