I eat at Texas Chuck Wagon whenever I visit my parents. Good southern home-cooked food at a fair price and a clean dining room. I read a bad review before writing this one and wanted to point out that the incident must be a one-off. I probably have eaten here 15 times, and it is always half full if not completely full. That says a lot. With all that traffic, I don't remember ever waiting to be seated or for my food and drink refills.

We ate at this restaurant today and were disappointed in our breakfast. The sausage was cremated all the way through and was cold when served. Every thing else was cold as well, except the coffee. If this place is ranked #3 in this area, we wouldn't want to eat at #4 or #5. They did replace the sausage, it was hot but burnt. After returning home we both had some digestive problems. The waitress was friendly and apologetic but we won't go back.

Great food and make the best pies around so if you want some great pies for Thanksgiving and Christmas this is where you need to go and made from scratch I got two buttermilk pies last yr best I ever eaten
