“We had the fried catfish and the fried green tomatoes and they were excellent! The tartar sauce, coleslaw and hush puppies are homemade and also delicious!Alyssa was our server and could not have been more friendly and pleasant! We will definitely be back to try other menu items. After looking at other peoples plates, everything looks amazing! Fully satisfied!!“
“I ordered a garlic burger but received a regular one. We had three combos on our ticket and were passing thru texarkana. The food was good.they only had 2 people in there working so that could have been the issue. The girl at the window was great!“
“Had Celaska “Cici” as a server, she was persistent in getting me Heinz ketchup so I didn’t have to use the trash inferior French’s ketchup. She then put the ketchup on my plate for me. “Go off queen.”never an empty cup on the table and she got us taken care of efficiently.Food was great.Your atmosphere got a low rating because I’d rather not have the Jonas brothers blaring in my ears while I’m trying to use the restroom. But management can easily fix this by turning down the sound board for the restrooms.“
“stopped here while driving from wisconsin to texas and had an absolutely perfect experience. the restaurant is spotlessly clean, the service is friendly and very quick, and the food was all excellent. every bite was served freshly cooked, piping hot, and expertly seasoned. even the simple vegetable sides were somehow the best i’ve ever had. the desserts were also delicious and tasted homemade. prices were very reasonable—cash preferred! worth a stop if traveling through texarkana and also worth going out of your way for simple, classic home cooking done in exactly right. really a special place.“
“Starters very tasty. Artichoke dip particularly. Surf and turf was good. Surf (shrimp) was very plump and tasty, but turf was a tad too dry. Fish and chips ended up being fish and wafers LoL. Overall a better place than a chain restaurant. Perhaps the best in this area.“
“Excellent place to eat in Texarkana for dinner. Good choice of beers (they brew their own beers) and cocktails. The old fashioned was perfect. We had the Smash burger and the Reuben both very generous and tasty. Special mention for the peach cobbler which was so yummy ! Service was very kind and friendly.“
“A hidden gem in Texarkana without a doubt. The mall version sucks horribly but the one on state line is so much better. Idk what the big difference in taste is between the two but never go to the one in the mall it doesn't do the other one justice at all.“
“So the wife and I were looking for a different place to eat in Texarkana on our day of taking care of business. We had heard about this place before, but had been told by some it was meh. But we wanted to try it and after looking at their menu options and the price, we were pleasantly surprised how reasonable it was. So we traveled to this little diner and gave it a try. We were very pleased. The place looks like your old ma and pa little dives. And that's what I love. We were greeted by the nicest (but very vocal) lady. She was a hoot. We went on a Monday so we got the Monday specials. My wife got the Chicken Spaghetti and I got the Chicken Fried Steak. The specials come with potatoes and gravy, green beans and a salad, as well as a dessert options (which they have plenty of). The meal also included a drink for under $12. I will say the Chicken Fried Steak could have had more salt and might not have been as tender as I would have liked (which is why I can't give 5 stars, but it's closer to 4.5). But my wife's chicken spaghetti was excellent. The service was quick and friendly. I loved the paintings on the wall with their positive messages and I loved the antique rack with all the older items. Overall it was a good experience and we will be back. I will say it can get busy very quick and there is not a ton of seating so get there early. But either way give this place a try. You won't regret it.“
“What a wonderful breakfast my husband and I enjoyed here! We got the waffle combo and added the scattered hash browns and strawberries and cream waffles. It was delicious, and the service was top-notch. The environment held true to the Texarkana small town feel. We loved it and will back again soon!“
“Nice cafe I love their honesty they cooked their corn bread a little too long but they carefully explained to each customer that it was a little over cooked no problem it wasn't burnt but still good even got a few extras,I came in hungry and left satisfied so with that being said I will be back due to good service and good food....“
“Wife and I went on a recent Saturday night, the it was excellent. The food, drinks, and service were all top notch. Highly recommended. We had the Becky shrimp, duck tacos, Kabayaki Poisson, duck grits, and bread pudding. All fantastic. Wine and cocktail selection was great.“
“Was driving from MO to TX and decided to stop here and try their chitterlings! Best Chitterlings I ever had! They were near closing and the food was STILLL GOOD. Felt just like I was at home, service was Great as well! I’m going back each time I get on the road!“
“Silver Spoon happens to be one of my favorite places to eat in Texarkana. I have never had anything that was not fantastic. The other part of SS that makes it are the staff that run the place. So welcoming. 10 percent of why it's so good is that Peach cobbler! Thanks guys.“
“You guys!!! The grilled Redfish with Mango chutney is perfectly delicious. And the fried Brussel sprouts though...mmmm. The jalapeno grits are a little too heavy on the jalapenos for my taste, but that didn't stop me from eating them. Wonderful server.Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free and dairy free options.Parking: Plenty.Kid-friendliness: Seating areas that give your party a private ish feeling.Wheelchair accessibility: At the front door.“
“Out Server, Jennifer, was wonderful. She was very personable and attentive and even suggested place of interest when she found out we were visiting from out of town. The overall atmosphere score would have been higher if not for the attitude of Karen. I am not sure of her title however, she was somewhat rude and condescending toward a couple of the servers. I would hope that that is not what they have to endure on a daily basis.“
“This was my first time trying this place; however my husband had ordered take-out before. He was really impressed with the food.He convinced me to try it.I wasn't disappointed!!!I had the club sandwich with broccoli cheese soupThe atmosphere was nice, quite and inviting.Service was excellent.Definitely will be back !!!“
“PROs: Great location. Clean establishment. Friendly and warm greeting and service; meal is served to the table. The food is great and this was preferred over greasy fast food places.CONs: Nothing we found displeasing.Thankful the place was open on an early Sunday. Most places in this area are closed. The pizza hit the spot coming through town, it was our 2nd time here but this time we dined in.“
“I got an amazing salad from here. I was able to make two means out of it. I went back the next week and the truck wasn't there. How do I know where the truck will be parked? Was it a fluke the day I got it, & it's normally at the address listed? I've really been craving their salad, but WHERE WILL THEY BE?“
“We chose the Holiday Inn because this restaurant is attached to the same building. We had dinner and drinks there after a full day of driving. The waitress at dinner was very helpful in food selection, and service. We had chicken pasta that was quite good. The next morning we were pleasantly surprised to find an extremely large breakfast selection of both hot and cold food items. Again the food was very good. If you are on a long road trip and all you want is a decent dinner and breakfast I would definitely recommend this restaurant.“
“Pretty busy on Sunday noon. Most of the time if there's a wait it won't be long. They close at 3:00 on Sundays which is not a problem that way they can have time with family and maybe go to church service. All for that. Food is great even on busy days. Waitress are great. Price is not bad either. 9 X out of 10 this is where you can find me after church on Sunday.“
“Nice little store with courteous staff. I like that it stays open later then the others nearby like til 1am or later sometimes. He was closing down once when I pulled up he already had the lights off and the window locked, but he opened the window and took care of me anyway. I don't forget that kind of extra service. Oh and this store even has games in it.“
“First time I went out to eat with my biological mother since I couldn't tell you when and they did not disappoint. Waitress could've been a little more attentive but it was right when they were trying to clean up from lunch rush and she was busy. All in all, it's a great place to get real food or as much as the ungodly world/government will let us have unless we kill it ourselves which they wanna take away as well and it's gonna happen too. It's all been told over 2000 years ago what was gonna happen and a lot already has so I just pray people open their eyes. Or let God do it because it does say in the Bible that no one comes to the father except through Jesus but you keep reading and it also says we are only saved because God chose us to be his adopted children, those of us that actually believe and don't just say it for recognition anyway. But He wants for everyone to come to the knowledge of Christ but wait here's where these works we were all told about in church being led by a preacher that doesn't truly believe in the gospel either or he wouldn't say the things he says or do the things he does. This world is slipping away and the King is coming! EVERY KNEE SHALL BOW AND EVERY TONGUE SHALL CONFESS HIM AS LORD. Sad part about that is it will be too late according to the Bible I read so if your life is not mostly governed by God then you're not listening once again“
