We had made a reservation for our anniversary and requested a private area for 2 if possible. The place is very dark, and they sat us at a table made for 8? They did accommodate when we asked for something else. I will say the server and bartender made great drinks, but the food was terrible. We expected fine dining food and the chicken was still pink, and the burger I ordered tasted dry and flavorless. We were pretty disappointed as we really wanted a special night and it just didn't deliver. I guess we just expected more since we did reserve for our anniversary.

Hands down absolutely one of my very favorite places to go when I am in the valley. lived in the valley forever. Ended at moving to San Antonio, and this is a must stop for me. Almost every time.

Relaxed atmosphere, no loud music. Awesome and attentive service. We tried their house drinks and they did not disappoint. The Butterfly Effect (my favorite) and Tequila Mockingbird are nice, sweet drinks and the Old Fashioned is tops. The Ribs were great and the Bugsy burger was amazing. For dessert, we tried the Cappuccino tartlet and French press coffee- both very good. Will definitely come back.

Our experience was incredible. This is the second time we have had dinner here. It's a great experience for a date night or family dinner. Jess was our server and she was nothing less than incredible.
A couple years ago we had a great experience with some amazing food and drinks. We decided to make it a special place today in a special ocasión we decided to visit again. As we walk in , our server kindly, apologize for not having enough physical menus on a half empty restaurant. We decided it's not a big deal, after we order several drinks from the drink menu and waited 20min for our drinks it felt disappointing instead of satisfying. we proceeded to order our food and the server mentioned to us saying that kitchen was on hold that we needed to wait. After agreeing with the decision to repeat the same experience we had before, we noticed another table received a their order even tho they arrived after our small party of four. Forty minutes passed by and our food was nearly coming. Two of our dishes were in the "ok" stage but our Pasta was dissappoting very cold and bold. After so much we passed by with service and wait we decided to reject the dish. Our server mention will call the manager. But the manager decided not to see us and kindly send an apologizing desert. Our check came by and as spected our Pasta was not in there, we sign and ask for our receipt and surprisingly to us we have $60 dolls in State tax Credit Card tax Merchant fee and More! Anyways our special night became a lot better sitting in another table from our second best restaurant!

Wife ordered a burger with no mayonnaise, they bring her burger with mayonnaise and asked to replace, manager said he would have to charge us for extra burger and didn't have the balls to come out and say anything after I asked waitress to get him. Waitress said all they can do is scrape mayonnaise off and give it to her like that. Will never go back and food sucked!!

We have not been to El Divino in a while. We are so impressed with the menu. Drink menu and over all service. We will be back. Think everyone in the area needs to try this place. Bar is insane. Must try is the Beet Dos Juice. Mezcal based drink. I'm not a Mezcal drinker. This was unbelievable!!! We are coming back. Very soon! McAllen is fortunate to have you!
