This place has never disappointed. We've been coming here on and off for about 30 years, and the food, service, and atmosphere have always been consistent. I'm sad to have heard that the older gentleman who always greeted us has passed on. Today, I missed the banter between him and his sister, the cook who always tried to keep him in check or on task when he spoke to the female customers a bit too long. It was all part of the experience. The original Tortas Acapulco, Las Rocas. Simply Delicious!!! Highly recommended 👌

I decided to try this place out since I saw it had pretty great reviews. The service was good. The waiter was very attentive. I asked for a recommendation since it was my 1st time. He named a few things on the menu. I went with the enchiladas rojas. I asked for chicken as a filling. The food presentation was great the sauce was amazing even had a lil kick to it. The chicken on the other hand was off. The texture was hard and the taste was off. Like it might not have been good. I got sick. My stomach was hurting pretty much all day and night. Sadly, it was not what I was expecting. I will not be going back.

This mom and pop restaurant is a hidden gem.
No frills ambiance, just a comfy vibe.
They save their time and energy by not overly decorating to garner attention and they apply their energies to making their food great.
I love taking valley visitors here!

Hidden treasure! Enchiladas are spicy but the BEST in the RGV!

One of the best little restaurants to hit up in Mcallen for an awesome torta or Enchiladas de mole! I'm addicted to this place! Staff are very friendly too.
