The food is typical Mexican. Service was fast. Wait staff are friendly but very busy. You need to be warned that the lady at the register does not have manners & will be rude & loud rather than polite. She doesn't look like it bothers her either. Other than that, the food was inexpensive & the coffee was good.
Ordinary. My party Ordered enchiladas, chile relleno and tampiquñea de res. Enchiladas needed more sauce a bit dry. Chile relleno was fine and tasty. The fajitas on my plate were stringy and hard to chew. Rest of the food on plate was ok and had its typical Mexican flavor. Best part were the salsas. I love love their salsas with chips. But that is not enough to bring me back. Service was ok.

My husband ordered Nopalitos, they said they didn't have nopales. Ok, so he ordered migas, they brought him migas and they were chips with eggs, he had to order another egg it still wasn't enough for all the tortilla chips they gave him. I ordered the caldo de res and I didn't get my tortillas till I was half way done with my caldo. I was trying to eat my caldo slow by then it was almost cold. We won't be going back.

It’s hard to get a good home cook meal these days. Maria’s was tasty and delicious, eat part I paid under $11 for a fajita plate, with an enchilada, beans and rice. The meal hit the spot. This place is right in the heart of downtown. Recommend it if you miss your mom’s cooking. I for got to take a photo since I just dug into it. Apologies.
