I have been there a few times whenever I'm visiting family in Texas. It's one of the few vegan restaurants in the McAllen area and as of this year, is my favorite place there. I have tried the other two vegan restaurants now and I have to say that Maria Cruz has an extensive menu with a variety of Latin cuisine. The tacos, sopa and drinks are delicious! I’ve been coming to María Cruz for a while now and I’ve always had a great experience. The food is fresh, creative, and full of flavor and the staff is always welcoming and attentive. You can really tell they care about what they do. It’s a small team working hard, so I always try to be patient and respectful, especially when it’s busy.
