If you have the patience, definitely come here. I ordered one order of tacos and waited 50 minutes. I called ahead and immediately let them know I arrived in my car outside. So much time passed, I went inside and let them know I was waiting for my order. The cashier was scrolling on her phone gossiping to another waitress right in front of me. A kind lady cleaning tables behind me had to help me after what she saw. That's when the cashier put her phone down and asked me if I need help. As I was literally talking, not even finishing my sentence, she continued to talk to her co-worker. Eventually I paid and all of a sudden my order was ready real quick. (When I walked in, it wasn't ready) Sadly, this isn't my first time something like this happend to me.

I've been a loyal customer of this fantastic establishment since they were operating out of their original location in Pharr, and I can confidently say they have only gotten better with time. As a Level 5 Local Guide, I'm always on the lookout for authentic gems, and this place is the real deal. It's an absolute must-visit for anyone who appreciates high-quality, flavorful food.
My go-to order, and what I recommend to everyone, is their order of birria tacos. The quality is consistently excellent. The tortillas are perfectly crisped on the outside while remaining soft enough to hold the generous amount of tender, juicy, and deeply flavorful birria meat. Each bite is just perfect. What truly sets them apart, though, is their consomé. It is absolutely amazing! It’s rich, savory, and packed with flavor, but most importantly, it's not overly salty—a detail that many other places get wrong. It's the perfect companion for dipping and is delicious enough to sip on its own.
While the tacos are my favorite, you can't go wrong with their other menu items. The Torta de Birria is a hearty and satisfying masterpiece, with the same incredible meat packed into a perfectly toasted bolillo. For something truly unique, the Ramen Birria is a brilliant fusion of flavors that works incredibly well, combining that signature consomé with delicious noodles for a comforting and unforgettable meal.
To top it all off, the location is always impeccably clean and the atmosphere is welcoming. You can tell the owners and staff take great pride in their food and their establishment. If you're craving authentic, top-tier birria, look no further. This place has my highest recommendation!

Food was delicious but when I was on my last taco, I pulled something from the back of my throat. I thought it was just cilantro but when I took a closer look, it was a long strand of hair in between the birria. It was so disgusting, I spit it out. Since I had been eating right out front in the parking lot as it’s a 17 min drive home and I didn’t want them to get cold, I went inside and told a person working there. However, it seems as though they were just concerned with closing and cleaning up, so she didn’t pay much attention to the nastiness of it all. I won’t be returning.

The food was good, but the pricing was misleading. The menu listed lower prices than what we were actually charged. There was no updated menu provided, nor was there any visible notice of the new pricing. When we brought this to their attention, the staff seemed indifferent to the feedback.
It’s important for the owner to be aware, as this could indicate potential misconduct. In our experience, one staff member requested payment separately while another processed it through the register, raising concerns that employees might be overcharging and keeping a portion of the sale or the entire sale as no receipt was given after we paid in cash. This not only creates a lack of trust but could also drive customers away.
