Upon arriving, we noticed the patio was full so we were excited at trying wine at Barons Creek. Once inside, we wandered a minute or so without any greeting. Eventually, one man passed by and said “I’ll be with y’all in a minute” which was perfectly fine so we could browse wines and food menu. A woman finally greeted us and asked if we had a reservation. It was odd that this was the first question they are told to ask. We proceeded to mention that we were just browsing the area and was interested in trying new wines! She responded that the patio was full and that most seating inside was reserved but could “‘make a few tables” available for us. The previous man who walked by us decided to chime in that “wine tasting is only available inside” which was unnecessary as the patio was completely full.

Overall the lack of friendliness and welcomeness to walk in patrons immediately turned us off and our group of 4 went to a near by winery which was fantastic and made up for this unprofessional interaction by Barons Creek.

I agree with other reviews. We did the $25 tasting for 5 wines, we each had a glass and we had the hummus and veggie plate. Total with tip was $130 which we felt was very over priced for what we actually got. The tasting pours were very small (just a sip size) and for some reason the person doing it kept giving my boyfriend more than me. Even when he mentioned I’m the wine person. We put our glasses side by side and he got significantly more than I did. I also agree not changing glasses out when wine tasting is a huge no for me. I’ve been wine tasting many times and never has red wine gone in the same glass as a white or a rose. The lady serving was nice and knowledgeable about the wine but she seemed to be the only person working and she was slammed. The hummus plate was way over priced. It was just hummus with cucumber, peppers, carrots and pita chips. All obviously bought and taken out of packaging and put on a plate. $16 for that.

All that said the wine was very tasty. We loved the cava rose, and the Cabernet. Will we go back though? Probably not.

I had a fantastic experience at the winery, and a huge part of that was thanks to Jen. She was incredibly knowledgeable, welcoming, and made the entire tasting feel personal and enjoyable. Her passion for wine really shines through, and she took the time to explain each pour in a way that was both engaging and easy to understand. Jen created such a relaxed and fun atmosphere—we felt like we were in great hands from start to finish. Highly recommend stopping by and asking for Jen if you get the chance!

Belinda was AMAZING! She was so welcoming and friendly and really made our experience one to remember. We are members and went in for a free tasting to decide what bottle we wanted to take home for my husband’s birthday and we had a great time! Thanks Belinda for being so kind and making our tasting one to remember. We left with the Reserve Chardonnay, which may be my second favorite to the Cava Rose!

We came to this lovely place, and the waitress asked if we wanted to try the wines. It was never clarified that the tasting cost $25, and I want to point out that the samples were very small. I assumed the tasting was free because she simply asked if we wanted to try the wines, and it wasn't listed on the menu.

Later, we ordered a bottle, which was another $50, plus the food. The waitress never mentioned the price of the tasting. From my perspective, it was rude and misleading. Just keep that in mind.

I’ve been to the Fredericksburg location which was much better! We did the wine tasting and the pours were so small. Our waitress complained to us, mixed up my groups wines when we all ordered different flights, and didn’t really explain what most of the wines were. Disappointing because I really enjoyed the other location and was super excited to have one in the area.

Very unprofessional workers they discriminate me because of my clothing and my race and they weren't able to help me .worst place ever !

Called and left a message before operating hours (mid-day), requested a callback that was never honored.

I called DURING operating hours and the call went unattended.

It was a time-sensitive request.

The current staff and their practices are costing them business.

No idea what venue or in-person experience is like but given their business practices, by phone, I don't care to learn.
