We used Michelle and Hands on Design Cakes for our wedding cake. We called her about six months in advance, Michelle bakes from home so she fills up quickly. The weekend after we called her she prepared a sampler of cupcakes of each of her flavors and fillings for us to take home and try with our families. We loved that we could take it home opposed to try on site because then we could share it with others and when cake tasting it often starts to blend together trying so many flavors. We liked being able to space things out.Michelle was helpful in designing our cake, she was willing to think outside the box to meet our design goals. Her prices were by far the most competitive that we found. Her website says she does not deliver, but she did deliver ours for $50--I think it depends on the order and the volume of cakes she is making that weekend. I suggest booking her early.Sometimes it takes her a bit to respond to emails, remember she runs this business on her own, this is not a corporate shop so keep that in mind.

When I first showed Michelle the picture of how I wanted the cake she made the cake prettier than it was in the picture. I ordered a cake for a surprise party and it turned out to be a total delight for everyone there. The design was cute and original and the cake itself was delicious. I will definitely use Hands On Design again when I'm wanting to have a special cake made.Here's a picture -- and the "Happy Birthday" coming from the spool of thread got jostled in transport to the party, but it was still very cute.

Hands down the best wedding cake recipe that I have ever tasted! The cake was an absolute hit and was exactly what I ordered. I will use Hands on Design, exclusively, going forward!!
*WARNING* This lady basically made rude comments about us in front of me, because she hadn't met me and didn't know what the groom looked like. And I hadn't gotten dressed yet. So in front of my friends she complained about this order and it's difficulty. Furthermore she went on to shame us by comparing what we paid for the cake to what we paid for the venue, (basically calling us cheap). What the heck? I would never wish this kind of service on anyone, not even for a $5.00 walmart cake. I will never do business with this lady again. She also does not take some major credit cards as far as i can tell. Maybe the only way this place has even anywhere close to a 5 is from friends and family reviews. But from an outsider I will say *STAY CLEAR*. The cake was crooked, and it was not the one we had chosen.This lady is a nightmare, she is shaming us about our finances now on facebook. Embarrassing a customer, really low.

I just moved here in October and my son just turned two and I had a small birthday party for him and I really wanted to outd his cake, I didn't know anyone nor knew where to go I found this lovely lady on Google and based it off on her reviews. I am very happy I found her because the cake Came out amazing, the smile on my sons face when he first saw her the cake I'll never forget it melted my heart. Well definitely doing for the business with her!Dinosaur cake ??

I ordered my wife's birthday cake from hands on design. I sent several different pictures of an ideas that I had in mind. I got back four pictures of cakes she had previously done that all met what I was looking for. I picked different elements from each cake that I liked and the cake I received came out perfect. Yes you can get a cake much cheaper at the grocery store but you get what you pay for and our cake was well worth it. It looked amazing and since it was multi tier we got different flavors to make everyone happy. Also the cake tasted just as good as it looked!
