Urban Grill and Wine Bar McKinney

Celebrate our 48th anniversary with great food and drink. Service was excellent. One of our favorite dining establishments.

Truly my go to for lunch with friends. Always good, almost always quiet at lunch and service is exceptional.

Our server.... I think his name was Brendon, was INCREDIBLE! We had a lot of fun with him, and we never needed to ask for a thing. Super attentive and funny as he could be!

Great food. Reasonable prices. Validated valet parking is important because it's hard to park at the square (which they have). Service was good despite being very busy Friday night. Got our table right away because we had reservation. Good seafood options.

The food and wine were outstanding! JP's level of service was fantastic and helped make the night a hit! A great experience!

The waiter was very knowledgeable explaining the menu and very much detail. Great drinks great food definitely recommend.!

Seafood risotto and the sea bass were both delicious. “Q” was a fantastic waiter. Perfect date night!

We were seated then tended to by what feels like 3 people, but our server who ended up taking our orders was very kind and diligent! The appetizer came out quick, a little too quick for meatballs made fresh and they were very salty while the bread very oily. The people in my party each got a different entree, all of which fell short. Tough and smelly scallops, soggy sandwich, overly salted steak to the point where your mouth and neck ache. The restaurant was dim and not very inviting for a lunch meal, it was difficult to see the menu at all. For the price of our ticket, it seems like everything but the service fell short given the reviews and reputation. All in all, the people were wonderful, the food could use some refinement and they need more lighting during lunch service.

We love coming to downtown McKinney, and we typically stay loyal to one local restaurant but today we decided to give Urban Grill a try. We’re glad we did.

We started with the bangbang shrimp, which was delicious…a perfect mix of sweet, spicy, and crunchy, served on a bed of slaw. My husband had the burger and loved how prominent the brisket flavor was; the meat was cooked to perfection, and the fries were crispy. I had the filet mignon with mashed potatoes, peppercorn gravy and nicely cooked asparagus. The filet on its own was tender, juicy, and beautifully peppered.

For drinks, we had the rosemary old fashioned…smooth and chilled, though nothing stood out about it. The lavender mule was a refreshing mocktail.
