Peggy's Cafe is a clean and quiet restaurant tucked away, so blink and you'll miss it. The atmosphere is awesome with easy listening music playing in the background. The food is great, amazing, and definitely worth it. Meals like the chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes with Mexican rice and pinto beans, mikes special, chicken fried chicken, carrots, pinto beans, potato salad, and fluffy short stack pancakes with eggs & hashbrowns w/ biscuits and gravy are all good. The biscuits and gravy are best, and the pies are great also. Food always comes out hot and yummy with very little wait. The service is great, with the staff being the friendliest and not making you feel rushed. The server keeps the coffee flowing and is attentive. The new owners are very nice and friendly. Don't let the exterior fool you. This is an A1 restaurant with good old fashioned country style meals. If you leave hungry it's your own fault for not finishing your plate.
