My husband went there with friends and brought me back some leftovers. He really loved the place and the food was tasty. I wanted to review because the place made some good food and left a really good impression on my husband.
Great coffee and lovely service. Friendly caring staff ❤
It was great! Has changed since we were last there about a yr ago maybe🤔 Anyway It's been remodeled, new owners and a bonus for us was one of the waitresses is from our old favorite place in East Dallas so we know the service will always be great! It's a perfect little place, not so little though;)

Peggy's Cafe is a clean and quiet restaurant tucked away, so blink and you'll miss it. The atmosphere is awesome with easy listening music playing in the background. The food is great, amazing, and definitely worth it. Meals like the chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes with Mexican rice and pinto beans, mikes special, chicken fried chicken, carrots, pinto beans, potato salad, and fluffy short stack pancakes with eggs & hashbrowns w/ biscuits and gravy are all good. The biscuits and gravy are best, and the pies are great also. Food always comes out hot and yummy with very little wait. The service is great, with the staff being the friendliest and not making you feel rushed. The server keeps the coffee flowing and is attentive. The new owners are very nice and friendly. Don't let the exterior fool you. This is an A1 restaurant with good old fashioned country style meals. If you leave hungry it's your own fault for not finishing your plate.
