Its the best sushi in the Permian Basin. It crushes Volcano and Osaka hands down on every possibility way and doesnt have the corporate soulless vibe.

This is the worst place to go in Midland, they had us waiting for over 20 min not even offer water, bartender was passing us constantly and acknowledged we were waiting still took her time and didn’t take our order, we sat at the bar and were able to see the guy making sushi, flies were sitting on the food at the bar, please don’t waste your time and money here.

Long story short: Been to this establishment multiple times and the food has always been satisfying. Restaurant smells unpleasant (like a fish tank) and services had always been lackluster. Will absolutely never return again in the future. Daughter was at a dance class nearby and wife had ordered some Chiptole to be delivered (typical parent trap of needing to be two places at once) DoorDash did DoorDash things and delivered the order to this establishment instead of the proper place. (Photo proof attached) Mistakes happen, but when kiddo requested the food there was zero attempt by any staff member to make it right. "Just ask for a refund" was about the only thing any of us got. Later, in person, when the manager was asked about cameras (1.5hrs after the theft), she denied having any "that reached that far" but with hand gestures confirmed that the delivered food would have been clearly evident as it was directly in front of the register. Gave the manager an opportunity to have the guilty party apologize to my daughter and us be on our merry way, but she refused to even look at the video. Well, this is a review reflecting very poor ethics and choices from multiple parties. Stealing food from an 11yr old is beyond the bounds of pathetic. Do better.

Freshness and presentation were very impressive. Food was amazing. Service was kind but relied on “let me know” for everything. Space was clean but dated. Overall, would recommend.

The meal itself was enjoyable and the service was decent, but the service model became confusing when the cook asked for a direct tip via QR code (cash app) mid-meal. I’m a firm believer in tipping, but soliciting extra gratuity while guests are still eating is off-putting and raises questions about how the standard tip pool is distributed.
