Macarena’s Delicious Mexican Dishes and Bar

I initially thought this place was a 5-star experience until I tried their enchiladas. Unfortunately, they were some of the worst I’ve had at a Mexican restaurant. The sauce tasted store-bought, the plate was lukewarm, and the cheese inside wasn’t even melted—very disappointing.

Also, what’s the deal with every Mexican place serving the same rice with peas and carrots? It tastes like it’s canned or jarred rather than homemade.

On a positive note, I highly recommend the shrimp cocktail, queso, and lemonade—those were absolutely delicious!

Once they sat our party of nine, service took time for refills. The spot they sat us was in an area where the restaurant music was overbearing. I couldn't hear some from my own party when talking at the table. They had a cute blow-up Christmas character go around as they played music and blew a whistle, but it seemed a bit excessive as our waitress got down. Food looked great and tasted great. Chips and salsa were tasty with some guacamole. Enchilada plates, fajitas, and Choripollo are great options.

Listen hands down our favorite Mexican restaurant in midland. The food, the drinks, the vibe this place is the best. Even my friends who have lived here for years I tell them about this place and they are never disappointed. The whole menu is delicious!

Food was excellent. The house frozen margarita was not great with kind of a medicinal tast but did have a lot of booze in it. We did not try any of the other drinks but come for the food!
