Nobu, that's me

Probably the best Asian food in midland… well not probably. Definitely! The food is incredible.Lunch was packed and still it was extremely fast. This will be a regular spot for me.

This place is so unexpected in Midland. I thought it was a fish and chips restaurant but it is one of the best ramen houses I have ever been to.Great menu and the dishes are executed flawlessly. They have a great selection of Japanese beers and Saki as well as a full bar.Ample seating and the parking is no problem as the city has painted parking stripes on the overly wide street.Stop in for a meal or a nightcap. I hear breakfast is amazing but I have not been there in the morning yet.

The chicken is so dry I could barely chew it. The fried rice was full jalapeno and garlic. The oranges on the salad were sour. The bottled beer was the best thing. The place was clean, but the food was not.

Mr chips is a unique place. It’s dressed up to seem upper scale, however I don’t feel like the food matches that. Personally I feel the portions were lacking a little bit for the price. The beef and broccoli has a good taste, but for 18$ I’d expect a little more than the plate we got. The 6$ egg roll appetizer is just 1 egg roll. Ours came out with the center still cold, which tells me it’s a premade frozen item, not freshly made, but I could be wrong. When it was remade, it did taste pretty good. For the drink I ordered a Dr Pepper, they brought me out a can and a cup of ice, and that cost 2.50. The Chow Fun noodles tasted like plastic and had 0 flavor. Not a fan of this place, very low quality to cost

Food was amazing! I would definitely go back next time I'm in Midland. Potstickers were my favorite.

Service was slow. It didn't seem like they have waitstaff. Its not the typical restaurant dining experience. It's more like a fast food dining experience. You'll order your food, pay and sit down.Food seemed to be made with fresh vegetables but most of the entrees we tried were bland tasting. It wasn't terrible but not great.

This place is nuts. No servers, you have to order all your food up front at the greeter desk. They started bringing out our meals before our drinks or our appetizers. Staff is rude. Will NOT be back. If I could leave zero stars I would. Don’t come here - you’ll pay sit down restaurant prices for McDonald’s service.

The experience and service was not at all worth the price. We had our entrees come out way before our appetizer and received our cocktails even after that. It would be a much better set up with table service instead of order at the counter.

Mister Chip’s is AMAZING!!! SO happy such a unique restaurant is here in Midland, TX! The food is unique and delicious and the atmosphere is trendy and upscale. We ordered several plates for our party of 4 and absolutely loved everything. If you haven’t been you should definitely go!

When you get there be sure not to park in the back parking lot. A note is on the door that your vehicle may be towed due to lot belonging to police department. On another note the food was delicious. The egg rolls are huge and come with a great dipping sauce. It is a little pricey but we will

Today was my first dining experience at Mister Chips Kitchen. Truth be told, I was sad to see Basin Burger close. Ahhh, that salmon sandwich was dreamy. But, out with the old and in with the new.At the counter, I immediately asked for a list of spicy dishes and selected the sweet yellow curry with chicken. The veggies in the dish are bamboo shoots and water chestnuts. I requested no rice.Fabulous and definitely spicy! Perfect amount of sauce. I will definitely order again.Okay, nitty gritty: staff friendly and attentive; overall appearance clean; and I quickly became super jealous I didn't select the tuna nachos like the table seated next to me. Wow, they looked delicious. Scanning the room, the plates looked generous and other dining patrons very happy.Thank you, Mister Chips for a good dinner!

My sister and I checked out this place for the first time yesterday and am very pleased with our overall experience. This place uses a "counter service" method, meaning you must go to the front counter or bar to order any drinks or food. (I personally like the concept). Also, it was fun watching all the entitled guests have to get up for their wants/needs. (Hehe) Tim was amazing. He gave us the perfect suggestions and has the BEST attitude possible! Even when rush hour hit he managed to keep a smile on his face and it really made our experience delightful. (He also makes great drinks). We tried the Chicken Lettuce Wraps, Potstickers, Orange Chicken, Lo Mein with pork belly(freaking yum), and the Nappa Cabbage. Everything was SO good and FRESH. I have absolutely nothing bad to say. Give this place a try. If you go before rush hour and sit at the bar like we did, I guarantee you'll have a great experience. (Currently sitting in my bed eating left over lo mein while I write this.... still just as good as it was fresh)

Love their potstickers. Their egg rolls are huge so one is enough lol. They could use more flavor but still good. I tried both shrimp and pork lo mein and prefer bbq pork. The only thing that I would change is their order system. I would say this is better for lunch rather than dinner date.

I'm so glad that this location was taken with a fun, new restaurant. The decor is really beautiful, and the windows bring in plenty of light. So, I really wanted to love it. However, unless you knew it was counter service you'd be lost. There is a hostess desk and the menus live there. We ordered drinks and food. Lo mein came out immediately even before we received water or plates. Green beans turned up 10 minutes later. Our starter, lettuce wraps, 30 minutes later. Meanwhile ordering another drink necessitated going to the hostess stand and waiting in line to order. I get counter service for fast food. Get people in and out. But you create a beautiful restaurant with a nice bar menu, and this is the deal? Doesn't make an ounce of sense. Choose fast food chinese or a slow turn over restaurant where folks get proper service. It can't be both. Especially when the food is just fine.

We tried to have lunch here at 1:40 on Friday & the doors were locked already. People from The Fuel Bar were parked there. I guess that made them look busy. Very disappointing on a Friday. Also delivery is unavailable. Hubby had lunch there the week before & said it was just okay. I doubt we will go back anytime soon. Perhaps this guy has too many restaurants to handle successfully.
