Was forced to eat here because of the Jan 2020 snow storm that hit Midland. I was a guest and didn't want to venture out for food. I as pleasantly surprised at the size of the Green Chili Chicken sandwich, it was yummy but the lettuce was limp. The mushroom risotto was typical for Midland. I also got the Chicken (something) with Swiss and avocado on it. It was not as good, but I wanted to try other foods. Pretty much what I'd expect for a hotel restaurant in Midland. Old, chili's level food, nice servers!

I am in Midland on business and due to seriously old weather had dinner in Doubletree twice. I had the same dish twice as it was pretty good first time. Service first time was wonderful. I ordered Sauteed Chicken Ambassador. I asked for no cheese or bacon tonight. Service was extremely slow with two people waiting on tables and only 6 patrons. Food came out covered in cheese and bacon after 20 minutes. Keep in mind 6 people in dining room and 4 already had food. She offered to take it back but I chose not to as I didn't want to wait. I just picked around what I didn't like. One I tasted it I was astounded by the amount of salt including the steamed veggies. I ate minimal and asked for the check. I told waitress how disappointed I was in the meal and she came out with the check and nothing deducted. I was not looking for a free meal but at least an apology or a kitchen manager come out. Worst meal ever at a Hilton property. If you're worried about convenience, order from somewhere that delivers.

Nice atmosphere, inside of the hotel so it has easy access. Kinda dimly lit. Could even be a romantic place.

The space is fine but from the food perspective it lacks. The Saturday breakfast buffet was scrambled eggs, pancakes, bacon, oatmeal and cold cereals. The fruit juice containers were empty. The two pastries they had were the same defrosted types at many of the Hamptons. Much could be done with the place. The 80s style design also had an 1980s food feel. Hilton you can do better. This place brings in the money on the week days.

I come often to have breakfast because the girls are always so nice, friendly and welcoming. The food is what you would expect from a hotel breakfast buffet except for the only time I've come when the omelette person was out, then you would actually want to eat the eggs. The only warning that could be given is anytime it rains in midland AVOID like the plague the following day, the ceiling is always caved in onto the floor/tables and there are buckets and bus tubs around the dinning area. I would mark this as a one time kind of thing but I've been here a couple handful of times when it has been in the condition described and the poor workers have to embarrassingly apologize for the water and condition of the area. I would like to have "upper" management in the restaurant the mornings it is leaking and nasty just so they can stand there and apologize to us customers, they don't seem to take it as a serious issue that water is dripping on people's food so they don't feel the need to actually fix leak instead of patching the ceiling afterwards.

I stopped by here because I was in the hotel and was too tired to look elsewhere. The restaurant was acceptable and the service was good. However, the booths were very uncomfortable. I had the "spicy" fried catfish, which was only spicy after I added sufficient Tabasco Sauce.

This is a below average hotel restaurant. Between a Waffle House and a Chili's. The service was prompt and friendly as I arrived. Happy hour has $3 well drinks with a generous pour. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and it came out in about 12-15 min. It looked great as did the generous side of fries. Unfortunately the grilled chicken breast had a weird texture and Italian style marinade flavor. Almost like it was previously cooked, frozen and them reheated to order. Gave up after 3 bites and just ate the bacon and cheese with part of bun that was not burnt. The fries were ok. A server finally arrived to take away my plate but despite seeing the largely untouched meat failed to ask if everything was good. Not feeling confrontational I ordered a slice of apple pie to get something good. It was average. Sadly there is a lack of basic hospitality training at this establishment. Nice people but not suited to work at a 4 star hotel restaurant.

What a very sad and shabby place. The chef says he is from a good school, but the food was without much spirit, pop or real passion. The whole place was so old and depressing- the music reminded me of an institution/insane asylum or homeless shelter.

Cannot recommend for groups. Took too long to serve food. Was told only one cook in the kitchen. Reservation was made a week in advance. Waited to serve until all plates were ready. Sat there for an hour and a half just drinking water and tea.

I have been to this coffee bar a number of times. It is really designed for the patrons staying at the hotel. The coffee was adequate. The cold drinks had lest taste than I would like and had chunks of ice. More often than not, though, the bar was closed during its "posted" hours and even when the front said it would be open. The bar seems ok for grab-'n-go, but the seating is limited at best and all but impossible for groups of 4 or more. A bit pricy, too, compared to other coffee places in town. Not a bad place for a quick cup of coffee and a snack, if you can figure out when it is open.
