Absolutely awful.
Should have paid attention to my instincts when we walked in... there was a distinct sour smell that hits you as you walk through the door; but we were hungry after driving all morning.
Burgers looked like they were thrown together by someone with bricks for hands and tasted old, milkshakes weren't blended beyond the top inch or so, and fries were soggy.
Spent $50, and nobody finished even half of their food.

Don’t go here payed for a large got a small because “they were out” didn’t tell me about this I ask for sauce they try to charge me even tho I probably already covered the cost of the sauce through paying for the large drink and only getting a small when I ask them they tell me stop holding up the line not to mention kid working the cash register couldn’t have been older than 12 he couldn’t count the fingers on his hands

I was not on my side of town & wanted to get a small snack on my hr+ drive back, so reluctantly stopped here. Reluctant due to the low reviews. The server at the drive-thru was sweet as pie, but his hands and nails were absolutely FILTHY!!!!! Although he wasn't the one making my food, I almost told him to just cancel my order. Chili cheese fries were mid, or it could've just been my appetite changing after seeing those long, dirty nails. I work part-time in food service, and I keep my nails cut low and clean. And I don't wear any rings while at work either! We have to do better. ?

My favorite hamburger chain restaurant in Texas is definitely here. The combination of juicy meant and crispy fries is so exquisite. So good! And the price is good too. I missed their shake. I’ll try it next time!

There is no better deal on burgers in Ellis or Johnson county. Great food and the sweetest most attentive staff you could ever want. My family loves coming here. 10/10
Went by today to get 4 burger with fries for myself and my children. The fries were disgusting. Threw all of them away, they tasted as if the oil was old.... I live in the neighbor town and was excited to stop by. I will never come back again. I ate half of the burger, two of my kids only took one bite and the other one almost finish it but I could tell they were all disappointed with the food

I can’t believe they serve this food to the public. The patty melt was sopping wet the whole thing was soggy and saturated in grease. Honestly I am offended they would serve me this thing to eat. Steak ‘n Shake has gone way downhill. I will never be back.

My husband and I stopped to get shakes. I got the birthday cake shake and he got a strawberry shake.When I got mine there were no sprinkles or cherry on top. It was just a vanilla shake. My husband's cup had a hole in it. They just put another cup under it.When I asked about the sprinkles he said they don't have any.I said, "then why do you show the photo to have sprinkles?".Anyway very disappointed. My first time at steak and shake. This was in Midlothian.

This was my first visit to a Steak ‘N Shake ever, and I thought everything was amazing. Kahlon (so sorry for my spelling!!) and Rook provided outstanding customer service and were friendly, welcoming, and extremely professional! The food was fresh, delicious, and served quickly. Our order was correct, the restaurant was spotless, and our overall experience was great! I highly recommend visiting Kahlon & Rook at the Midlo Steak ‘N Shake!!
