I usually love this Waffle House because of its convenient location—it’s close to my home, making it a great spot for a late-night breakfast. Most of the time, I get excellent service and enjoy the food. However, my recent visits have been disappointing due to one particular waitress, Bree, whose appearance and hygiene standards leave much to be desired.

Bree consistently looks unkempt, as though she just rolled out of bed. Her uniform is often wrinkled, and her overall grooming gives the impression that she doesn’t take her health or presentation seriously. On more than one occasion, I’ve chosen to drive out of my way to the Waxahachie location if I notice she’s working, simply to avoid risking an unpleasant experience.

Last Saturday night, I was very hungry and decided to give this location another chance. Unfortunately, Bree was working, and it was evident that she was unwell. Against my better judgment, I stayed, ordered my food, and went home. Shortly afterward, I began feeling congested, which made me question if dining there was worth the risk.

I enjoy this restaurant when Bree isn’t working—the service is great, and the food is always satisfying. However, allowing a visibly sick waitress to serve customers is unacceptable, not to mention the need for improved grooming standards. I strongly recommend that management and, perhaps, even a health inspector take note of this issue. This is a relatively new location with a lot of potential, but experiences like this make me hesitant to return.

In this day and age , you would think that restaurants would consider serving food from patient 0.

I ordered online almost cost 30 bucks and I got home they gave me a pecan waffle. It was gross and I ordered a regular waffle.
Then when I tried to call back you can't even talk to nobody.
Never order online from here.
And if you order to go in person they charge you a fee.

Terrible experience, came as a group of 6 at 9 on a Saturday night. Place was deserted. We all ordered the exact same thing and they messed up almost all of our orders and forgot the other half. Waitress seemed like she could care less and didn’t want to be here. Will never be coming and don’t recommend. Waffle House, do better and get employees that actually care about their job.

Great service. Tables and silverware could be cleaned better. Waffle a little underdone.

Giving it a 1 star. Clean, and service is good except they never have anything during the evening that they will have in the mornings. Nor will they make it for you. Because white gravy is hard to make. This is the 5th time I come around 5ish and they don't have some foods. It's annoying when you are craving something and they can't seem to make something easy. My suggestion is to go to Ales. Management can you have your people have what's on the menu during the evening???

The staff here is outstanding, however, Shay was absolutely terrible from a customer facing standpoint. She single handedly ruined the whole experience. The cooks crushes it in a timely fashion. Bri and Sage, stellar.. but the attitude and general understanding of what work is from Shay was an absolute disappointment. Honestly don’t want to go back for fear I’ll have another interaction with her. She is the bad apple in this group that otherwise was amazing. She told me her attitude does not directly impact her pay so why does it matter. Every other employee received a $20 tip but Shay, because her attitude did not. Hope you guys figure it out.

Oh also, TouchTunes is advertised on the menu but the music restrictions made this a waste of time and energy. Either play music or offer music the paying customers want.

I had previously given this location 5 Stars across the board. But I deleted that review and am replacing it with this review. Every Tuesday morning for more than a year now my 81 year old Dad and I have been coming to his location for breakfast. He looks forward to it every week. He always orders the All Star Breakfast with a side of gravy. I'll usually order the two-egg breakfast, or the Texas Melt with ham. Dad gets coffee, and I get sweet tea. Honestly? The service is hit or miss. We've had several servers, and to their credit they seem to rememember us, and what we're going to order. But often Dad has to ask for refills for his coffee, and has to remind the server about the side of gravy, and more frequently his waffle that comes with the All Star. We don't ask for any "special" plain hashbrowns. The picture of the Breakfast Texas Melt shows hasbrowns, and a couple of pickles. Yesterday (09/17/24) morning around 9am we arrived and ordered our usual. I asked for some extra pickles. When my order arrived there were no pickles. I calmly explained to our waitress that I ordered extra pickles, because sometimes I get pickles, and sometimes I don't and I figured that I would order extra with the hope that I might get a few. At that point the cook came over with a plate piled high with pickles, and dropped that plate on our table. I stated "That's a pretty smart ass response for a couple of pickles." He was clearly having a bad day. Dad is about finished with his All Star breakfast, but once again he didn't get his waffle. Since we were near the waffle station our waitress went over to make the waffle, but the cook brushed her aside grabbed some waffle mix and slammed it into the waffle maker. At least a good 5 or 10 minutes go buy. The waffle is sitting on a plate in front of the waffle iron, Dad is hoping to get a his waffle and a refill on his coffee and when he reminds our waitress she stated that she would get it. Dad asks for it to go. The cook appeared to have everyone distracted with his attitude. Our waitress finally returns, Dad reminds her that he didn't get his waffle. She told him that she would take it off the bill, even though the waffle was on a plate waiting just a few feet from her. Dad told her to add the differenence to her tip and explained that the cook had a "piss ass" attitude. He never got his waffle. At that point we left, and my Dad says that he's afraid to go back. We always trip 20% or more. I can only imagine if I was that cook, and I treated him the way that we were treated he would have lost is mind. I can only imagine the amount of money he costs the wait staff at this location in tips, and the hostile work environment that he creates. He's cost this location our business.

I ordered double hashbrowns with ham and gravy to go. Got home and there was no ham. The hashbrowns were not even cooked all the way.

Ordered the 2 egg breakfast with sausage and bacon with the eggs hard scrambled. The eggs were fried then chopped up looking as appealing as dog food. They took them back and sent them out the same way a second time. I had it with the eggs so I left them. The bacon was burnt. I got onions in my hash browns that I never asked for. And got charged for them. Piss poor food and I eat here a lot. Watching the cook prepare the scrambled eggs. Cracking them in a bowl and 3 turns of the spoon is not scrambled. Do it right the first time. And he was supposed to be the manager. Poor role model.
