Based on the reviews, Favorite Neighbor is an incredible hidden gem in New Braunfels. The food is SOO good, with the Tuna Carpaccio being a standout dish that people are obsessed with. Other menu items like the meatballs, papas, and fresh foccacia bread dipped in the oil from the tuna carpaccio plate are also amazing. The restaurant offers yummy tapas and lovely wines, including hard-to-find Portuguese reds from the Douro region. The ambiance is a 10/10 with unmatched vibes, though the space is small with only one bathroom. The service is wonderful, great, and informative, with a helpful and attentive staff. The restaurant is a bit pricey and has a small parking area across from the Schlitterbahn. It is 100% worth a reservation on a Friday night and a must for anyone in New Braunfels or staying at the Schlitterbahn resort.
