In a world where the food service industry gouges consumers for every penny, it’s nice to know that I can still get great coffee and donuts that are actually delicious and made on site for under $6.00. I watch my weight and don’t treat myself often, but I make it a point to make at least one trip to Shipley’s every time I am in TX. A must -try are the fruit-filled donuts. Tons of filling and absolutely delicious! Other donut shops barely have any filling and don’t make...

I've been coming to this location for years. I hit it up every time I drive through on my way to Houston. The kolaches here are the best in Texas. Not all Shipley's have the same kolaches. I got up this morning to grab a couple dozen for my family and drove 30 minutes. The lady working the window today really needs a hug. I am not sure if she is getting paid. Something is wrong. She was confused as soon as I said hello. I asked for two dozen kolaches. One dozen jalapeno...

If you haven't been here in a while, then you need to go. I came here a few times years ago, and was unimpressed. I mean, it was ok, but only just ok.Something changed, because the donuts are amazing now. Even just the plain glazed are fantastic now. Staff is very friendly, too.5 year edit!Still my favorite donut place in town.
