I came across this facility, looking for a big place to accommodate my whole family, we came for my son’s wedding by the River RIt was an amazing experience… despite the weather and that we couldn’t spend time at this facility, my whole family loved it and looking forward to book this place again, when weather is hot so kids can jump in the river. We loved the River and the backyard, it’s a great way to disconnect with the daily work life’sVery spacious, in general we’re very satisfied!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this Vrbo rental for a Valentine’s getaway with friends, and it was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, we were in awe of the beauty and charm of the house. It was the perfect setting for our celebration and made us feel right at home. The house itself was beautifully decorated, with attention to detail that didn’t go unnoticed. Each room was spacious and inviting, equipped with all the amenities we could possibly need. The common areas were perfect for gathering, laughing, and making memories that will last a lifetime. What made our stay even more exceptional was the responsiveness and kindness of our hosts. They were always available to answer any questions and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. We’re already looking forward to planning our next stay here!”

The home is as the pictures depict and as previous reviews describe. The outside is great space to hang out with the family! Good location to be a way from the busy areas but close enough to get there if you want.

If only it were possible to give negative stars. Zero stars is too many for our dealings with Vacay. Serenity Point is the wrong name for the house we rented on Canyon Lake. How about Catastrophe Cove? Do not be fooled, the pictures and description are false advertising. The house is an average-sized ranch with neighbors within 5 yards on both sides. It does not even remotely sleep 12 people, a problem for our party of 11, even though 5 of those were kids.Furthermore, upon arriving, we found the entire living space caked in dust and grime. Due to Vacay’s negligence, the house had not been cleaned prior to our arrival, so we spent the first night of our vacation (Christmas Day!) wiping down every flat surface but still sneezing. The kitchen sink was clogged, backing up with brown chunky water every time we ran the dishwasher. There wasn’t a single glass in the kitchen; everything was plastic. Our repeated complaints to Vacay over the course of the weeklong stay fell on deaf ears. On a $6000 weekly rental, after more than two dozen phone calls and texts, they refunded us a measly 10% for our trouble and discomfort. And that was only after repeated calls and texts after returning home; 2 weeks later, we finally have the refund, albeit an inadequate one. Never were we given the opportunity to speak with a senior manager.Serenity Point is not a luxury rental – the house and neighborhood are both in dire need of upgrades. From the back, the house looks like it could tumble down the hill at any moment. The pool is fine but unheated. The guardrails surrounding it are treacherously unstable and will snap under someone’s weight very soon. The online description says the house sleeps 12 – it actually sleeps 8 (four couples) comfortably. The loft, which purportedly sleeps 4, is so uncomfortable that we pulled the wafer-thin mattresses down to the ground floor and stacked them. The spiral staircase up to the loft is a deathtrap, and very difficult to navigate if you’re taller than 4 ft. For six nights, my spouse and I had our son sleeping between us with our daughters on the floor beside us. Super relaxing.Canyon Lake itself is seemingly at an all-time low level and the shoreline reeks of marine detritus. A local fishing captain told us that it’s 25-30 ft below its normal level and will take years to recover even after the drought ends. The immediate neighborhood is a hodgepodge of poorly maintained homes/trailers/sheds with yards full of garbage. The nicer houses are on the opposite side of the lake.In sum, we estimate that we paid at least double what this house is worth. Our family has rented houses many times, and never have we had such a miserable experience where we were treated so poorly. So please do rent elsewhere. Serenity Point is a disaster waiting to happen, and Vacay has no concept of value or customer service.

The house was such a great experience. We really enjoyed our stay. The amenities were great for a large family and the support team was extremely responsive when needed. They made the experience that much better. I think the only con of the experience was the wifi, but when you are enjoying the time with family, it made the issue very minimal. Other than that, I would say this was a great home and would absolutely rent again.

Beautiful property with the best amenities, our family would definitely visit again. Wonderful outdoor area to enjoy the river and have a fire. Kitchen well equipped for almost all needs to cook… pots, pans, baking needs etc. Enjoyed our thanksgiving trip immensely.

We had a great experience renting a house from Vacay Hill County! The house was spacious, had a huge deck and direct access to the Guadalupe River. Vacay Hill County gave detailed instructions and were quick to answer any questions I had. Will definitely rent from them again. Excellent customer service.

I wanted to leave a review to show my appreciation for the patience and the tentativeness of the staff working for Vacay Hill. Jennifer, specifically, was very helpful and took time to ensure that my reservations were taken care of properly and accurately. Despite it being me who caused the clerical issues, Jennifer took time to resolve all my issues and called me back promptly with a resolution. Thanks again!

Very accommodating, let us add an extra car and let us check in early so we could decorate for a bachelorette party

Highly recommend staying here! Right on the river, multiple levels of decks in the backyard. Kitchen is huge, we cooked every meal, we had all of the utensils, etc needed! Will be back next year!!

We rented The Stone Ridge retreat for mini vacation. The place was beautiful and had a ton of space. The staff is always amazing and willing to help with any of the request we had.

The place is clean and has everything you need for your stay. Very nice easy to use propane grill. Amazing views. We floated the river with our kids. It was very private not a lot of people at this time. The had a really nice flat screen in the living room it was a perfect size. There was a big hornet in the room but the house had hornet spray under the sink so I was able to get rid of it. I asked for late check out yesterday during the day twice. I ask again in the morning but did not get a response until I was in SUV and leaving. So if you would like a late check out ask before you come to property as check out is a little early 10am. Over all beautiful place. I would come again
