We were initially not sure of this place because so few people were eating there. But we took a chance on it. This place was great! It was clean, inviting, and the wait staff was courteous and efficient. We had a hard time deciding what to order off the huge menu that pictured most every dish. And the food did not disappoint! We had chalupas and mini tacos. Yum! And the flan for dessert was the best I've had in a long time! Our first time there. We will be back!
Just a great place for real Mexican food! Good prices, super service. The drive through is really convenient and efficient when you're in a hurry. Tends to get crowded on weekends.
When it comes to “near downtown” local spots, there are so many wonderful options. As a newbie to NBTX, I have to say that we sincerely appreciate the kindness and welcoming spirit of the staff at Taqueria El Tapatio Mexican Restaurant on South Seguin. They even surprised my buddy on his birthday (singing and providing a cake and charro sombrero!). Food has always been consistent and such a good value being so close to downtown. Fun place for us.
