The Grouper was cooked perfectly, but it was saltier than necessary, and the dirty rice was over-seasoned. My husband ordered the stuffed flounder and he was pleased with his meal. Our waitress was very attentive.

We have driven by The Reel many times coming and going from events in the area. We finally stopped in for a to-go order. Better than average fried shrimp and fish but generous portions. However, the citrus glazed salmon was amazing: cooked perfectly and so well seasoned. The asparagus accompaniment was sublime. Pretty pricy food, but well worth it.

We have been enjoying meals at the Reel for over a year, and consider it one of the best seafood restaurants in New Braunfels. We have sampled every dish on the menu and have yet to find one we dislike. However, we have noticed a trend in recent months: the fish is frequently overcooked, though still tasty. Additionally, the oyster shuckers seem to be leaving behind excessive broken shell fragments and a significant amount of oyster meat within the shells.
