Excellent service! Very busy day and they handled the load well. Food was phenomenal, and had gluten free options. The side room we were was very quiet and the separate space from the main area was really nice.

The Brazilian French Toast is absolutely amazing! The service was great. Me and my bestie met for breakfast and started chatting away as soon as we sat down. The waitress came to order and when I told her we would need more time she didn’t rush us at all. I love this restaurant.

Everything was top notch. I had randomly picked this place based on location, and it turned out to be much better than I anticipated. My turkey sandwich was excellent, and my friend enjoyed his meal as well. Great service, too! My only complaint (for lack of a less harsh word) is the acoustics. If you want a place to talk quietly with someone, this wouldn't be it.

Food was pretty good, two plates were really good and the other two were average. Probably a four star place but the wait staff and the policies are rude. Had to wait 30 minutes while staff was not hustling to get people seated and many open tables. Paid with cash they round my change down not up, I don't understand that if you're not doing change then round in my favor. Also gave me 3 big bills so I had nothing to give for tip. I had 3 ones in my wallet, put that down and were adding quarters to get the waitress to 15 percent even though we were not happy. Then she told us, oh we don't take change, and if you want to stiff me go ahead and stiff me. Absolutely unbelievable!

Mikayla was FANTASTIC this morning! We came to enjoy breakfast and mimosas and she was excellent at recommendations and keeping us happy! I second her recommendation of the lavender lemon mimosa!

Locals now Root Cellar Cafe as a wonderful morning breakfast stop. Opens at 7am ready to serve. Come early! Busy, delicious, generous servings, delightful staff. Their delicious jam is made in-house.

The food, service, and ambiance were all great at the Root Cellar Cafe. San Antonio needs to get one. Menu included in the post.

We went for lunch on a Monday. No wait, the cafe is cozy, & everyone is friendly. The Brussels sprouts appetizer with tomato bacon jam is delicious. The holy aioli & Meg’s chicken salad sandwiches were a hit.
