Visited True Texas BBQ in New Braunfels, TX. The brisket was really good—great flavor and smoked just right. However, there were a few downsides to the experience. As you walk in, it feels like you’re about to order at a fast-food restaurant (of course it’s inside an H-E-B) You place your order through a screen, and you don’t get to see the meats being cut in front of you(in Texas you would like to see your meat being cut front of you) When the food arrived, nothing was...

Great food, engaging workers, smiling faces, affordable pricing, not much more I could look for when going out to eat, never walk out feeling like I ate something unhealthy, just quality meat smoked with care.

OMGOSH, all the times I've come into HEB had never stopped and eaten at True Texas BBQ. The staff at Walnut Ave were amazing. The food was outstanding. My husband and I shared the El Jefe and oh my it was so so good.
Thank you and will definitely be back.
