Went in today Cajun Joe’s today and ate the most delicious new Burger they were offering! Jalapeño mushroom patty on a jalapeño cheddar bun with a special sauce! It was amazing! I dubbed it the Voodoo Burger!
Highly recommended if you are driving through or visiting Newton, TX to stop by and get some great food!
Best burger ever! The curly fries are awesome too.

Cajun Joe's Cafe offers a mix of experiences and is a true gem hidden in far east Texas. While the place needs a good cleaning and the fries were soggy, the service is friendly, though waitresses are new and require more experience. The Fried Crawfish Platter, Boudin Balls, and Grilled Shrimp are highlights, with the crawfish being particularly awesome, thanks to its size, flavor, and spice. Everything at Cajun Joe's is delectable, from the plate lunches to boiled crawfish and their pepper jack boudin eggrolls, all made fresh every day. Prices seem to have increased recently, but the food has potential. It's a quiet spot with limited servers, perfect for a quick lunch if you're in the neighborhood. The atmosphere has changed since the passing of Mr. Joe, but his wife and cooks are doing a great job, keeping the flavor alive.
