Menu, Yucatan special, and chimichanga. Absolutely stop by for a bite at Tia's. Delicious, fast, friendly and clean
Passing through Normangee and Tia Juanita popped up on my mexdar as a likely place for authentic Mexican cuisine. We were not disappointed. Margaritas were fantastic and reasonably priced. Menu is extensive and we decided to test the chef and split a plato of colchonita pibil. The spice is achiote, a spice from a tree seed not a pepper. It was fantastic and ample enough to divide and be satisfied. $31 for the food and two house margaritas!!!
Looking at the pictures before coming, I had a pretty good idea of what I was in for. The restaurant definitely looks like a hole-in-the-wall kind of place from the outside, but the food looked amazing and boy, was I right! I ordered the beef fajitas, and they were absolutely fantastic. The salsa was also some of the best I've had in a long time.
