“Passing through Normangee and Tia Juanita popped up on my mexdar as a likely place for authentic Mexican cuisine. We were not disappointed. Margaritas were fantastic and reasonably priced. Menu is extensive and we decided to test the chef and split a plato of colchonita pibil. The spice is achiote, a spice from a tree seed not a pepper. It was fantastic and ample enough to divide and be satisfied. $31 for the food and two house margaritas!!!“
