“I had made a reservation for 12:15 we arrived at 12:07 and were taken to a table. We did not like the table next to the glass and requested a specific booth where no one was seated at. The hostess was not friendly and tried siting us at the same table we had voiced we did not like. Then she asked we waited in lobby. We waited 10 mins and during this time another couple arrived and was immediately seated at the booth we had requested. We then asked for the booth next to that originally requested booth but instead we were seated in a different area. Soon after we were seated and another couple arrives and was seated at second requested booth. It was a small request and it felt the hostess went out of her way not to give us our request. We then contemplated leaving but our waiter was amazing and made up for the rough start.“
“Ate here on a Friday at lunch for the first time. It was decently busy when we arrived. There was one server working the whole restaurant. She was absolutely KILLING it and doing great for how much she had on her plate. But it was a little slow going because she was taking care of so many tables. Once we placed our order though, the food came out quickly. The restaurant itself has a very unique and cool ambiance. We tried the queso flameado appetizer, carne asada crispy tacos, and chicken flauta plates. All three were delicious! The meat on the tacos was so flavorful. I don't usually eat carne asada because most places have chewy meat. Their tacos were tender, full of flavor and delicious. The flautas are fairly small. If you're looking for a light meal that won't overstuff you, the flauta plate should be the one you go for. They had a light flavor. Much needed after the heavy, but delicious queso flameado. The queso had just the right amount of spice kick with the chorizo in it. Overall we were satisfied and will definitely be back!“
“Black Gold is a great segway for young college aged Kids to first hand experience Odessa Night Club/Bar scene. But also has its regulars and small cliques will venture the venue some, if not all, weekends. Mix of Latino and Hip-Hop & Country music. No billiard tables, but decent sized dance floor for attendees. Security is tight but not UPtight. Good atmosphere from Waitresses and Bar staff; super fast, efficient, and consistent with customers and the late-night crowd.“

“So the appetizer was great, we had the crab dip and peta chips. I had the fish with Mac & Cheese and brussel sprouts. My fav part of that meal was the ... brussel sprouts. The fish was over cooked and soaked in a lemon sauce that over powered the fish and seasonings. The Mac & Cheese was ok but the sprouts with bacon was the best part of this meal. The wife had pizza I believe it was the prosciutto and arugula pizza which was pretty good as well. Just over all the food was only 3 out of 5 for fish that cost $28 and didn't deliver on the taste.“
“Hopdoddy is an INCREDIBLE restaurant that my wife and I both hold near and dear to our stomachs. Their burgers are sooooo delicious and don’t make you feel like crashing afterwards. I believe we’ve tried all of their fries too and have yet to be disappointed. We always have a great experience from the moment we walk in to the moment we leave!“
“Clean and quiet place, good service and attention, very nice to go with the family, the only thing I didn't like is that they don't leave the music on, I don't know how it will be at another time, but without a doubt I would go again. I liked the place. “
“Great place to go and relax. The bartenders are always prompt and eager to serve. The open atmosphere allows you to move freely towards the pool tables or sit down with your company at one of the many large sitting tables. Pool is free all night and the jukebox always has the latest in your favorite jams. Bathrooms are always clean and sanitized. I love this bar..“

Pool & Karaoke bar[Fridays]. Has pinball too!!Cheap beer & drinks. Sorry no pics..lil dark in there, but have Sports on about 6 screens. Pizza oven also.“
