This was the first time I had eaten at Mamaritas's in over ten years. We went as a group of five people. I and another person ordered the same Spicy Chicken I ordered back then. The service for ordering drinks and receiving them was good, but it took long to receive the food once our orders were taken. Although the entree was close to what I remembered, the server did not ask us if we wanted the Spicy Chicken on the lunch manu or dinner. They did however ask two of the others...
The other day I went in to eat lunch by myself, and I was greeted by a very genuine hostess who had a smile on her. She directed me to a table, and I asked for her name, and she told me she was Ariel. She also asked me how I've been, which was rare because nowadays people never ask that question, and I appreciated her for that question. Wait staff was attentive and polite. Had a question about a certain dish and the waiter made 3 trips to the kitchen to get answers for me. Over and above service.
