I remember the old Central Texas BBQ. The food was delicious back then. Now it’s at the opposite end of the spectrum. Mac-n-cheese tasted like pasta in watered down milk - absolutely no flavor. Asked for moist (not fatty) brisket and they did take the fat off but the remaining brisket was like mush. Even the banana pudding leaves a lot to be desired. Time sure has taken its toll on Central Texas BBQ. Sure wish the old generation was still cooking the food.
In the past 3-4 months the quality of the food and the quantity of the food has been declining. After the 3rd order, I decided I would not return to this place until they starting cooking and serving as before.
Been eating here since 1973 when chopped beef sandwich was 95 cents
